I recently visited Fatburger in Aurora, Colorado, and my experience left much to be desired. The skinny burgers, served with no buns, were tasteless and bland, with a noticeable absence of spices (no salt/pepper). The overabundance of relish only added to the disappointment, and the pricing felt unjustifiably high.
The meat quality was so subpar that I wouldn't even consider sharing the second $11 burger, with my dog. Adding to the disappointment, the very dry meat at Fatburger in Aurora seriously appeared to be the same frozen patties, perfectly shaped/machine compressed like frozen Fatburger shown on Walmart website. Looking at our groups meals, all the beef looked identical. We were left questioning the quality of ingredients used by the restaurant.
To make matters worse, the jalapeño poppers were a letdown. The "jalapeños" inside the breaded cocoon were so minuscule that they could be compared to slivers of wood.
The shakes were good, but likely wouldn't go back there just to get one by itself.
Overall, my dining experience at Fatburger in Aurora was far from satisfactory, and we both were left feeling thoroughly disgusted with our choosing this over other options.
The reviews on this place are overwhelmingly positive - so it was quite surprising our experience. 3 burgers, 2 shakes and 2 jalapeño poppers $60+ was...
Read moreI flew into Denver today and waited 30 minutes for Fatburger to open at 10:30 am. The ONLY reason I waited was to order their vegan milkshake. I come to this establishment pretty often when I'm flying in/ out of Denver for their impossible burger & vegan cheese which is reeeeeally good. It's rare to find that combination anywhere in Colorado. I came here at the end of March and guess what? They finally had vegan milkshakes available. I ordered the Maui banana which was divine! I came back today and they don't sell it anymore. Mind you that was the first time Fatburger has had them. They normally just have regular milkshakes. The guy told me that they probably weren't selling and that they have them at their other locations. Okay, if you keep an item on your menu for less than a month what do you expect? Also, I ordered online. It gave the option to order it (which is still an option on uber eats & grubhub) but there was no advertisment or menu in the store and what other locations? There's only one in Colorado... anyway, I definitely recommend this place for the food but the 3 stars is due to not only the milkshake issue but their bathrooms are disgusting. It's 10 am & I'm the first person to use the bathroom. Why is it dirty?...
Read moreWhen I try a burger for the first time, I normally get it plain to just taste the meat but I didn't do it this time. That being said, I thought it was fatburger because of the size. Although the smallest was 1/3 lbs to the largest of 1.5 lbs. They put a lot of veggies and other toppings (mayo, lettuce, tomato, relish and pickles, mustard) and I got it without cheese, because cheese and I have a love/hate relationship (I love it, my body hates it)! You order from the register, they bring it to you. It looks as if it could get very busy during a lunch or dinner rush and with only two registers, you may be in for a wait. I only counted approximately 25 four seat tables with eight of them booths and a high bar with 10 stools. I tried to call it in early but there was no answer but it was an hour until close on a Friday night. Over all, it was good experience, besides the short wait and semi-dirty bathrooms, the burger only took about five minutes. If you go before a movie, give yourself extra time. Oh, the onion were amazing! They were fried well and the whole onion didn't slide out when you bite into it. Smallest burger, onion rings and small...
