Sabor Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Aurora

Leaving the 1 star review so the owner will see this review. Overall I find sabor to be a 4 star experience. I like the food and come here often. Most of the time it's just a small thing here or there that could be better (hence 4 stars). Although today (7.27.21), things didn't go all to well. The gentleman in front of us had his order messed up. Than when it came to us, I had to ask for chips and salsa, and they forgot my corn tortillas for my meal. Huevos rancheros usually has 2 tortillas on the plate, with 5 rolled up on the side. This time there was none on the plate. After going back up again, I was only given 3 tortillas. They also didn't give us 2 full sets of silverware.

Mostly minor things, but when you add together 2 messed up orders back to back, not enough utensils, having to ask for chips, and not getting what I ordered after asking for it to be fixed, I'd have to say that some improvement could be used. It appears to mainly be a kitchen problem, but the counter lady also forgot the chips and proper utensils, so all around see better training my be needed to ensure the same, great experience is...

It was great to see there is another Sabor in Aurora, the one that I usually go to is in Centennial. Definitely one of my favorite Mexican food spots for breakfast burritos. I did a little something different last time I was here. I ordered breakfast burritos for me and the kids and I got a bowl of green chili to go. It is something about their green chili, when I don't feel like SUPER spicy chili, this is perfect. I took some home, didn't eat all of it, threw the leftovers in the freezer and saved it for later. About a week later when I had that Sabor craving, I defrosted it and it was still delicious!

Another thing, outside of their service being awesome, is there salsa bar, which they don't have at their Centennial location. Their salsa is freaking DELICIOUS... I got an extra one or two (don't judge me) just to make sure my breakfast burrito had some extra spice to it - their hot salsa is HOT and I love it.

Our FAVE Mexican restaurant in metro. 5 stars for crazy good food, plentiful portions, excellent prices. The only ding would be staff could work a little harder on cleanliness of tables, albeit the general atmosphere is very clean. We go in evenings, when they're never in a lunch rush, etc., so there's no real excuse for dirty tables (which they always are). Realizing the customers and their unsupervised kids abuse the salsa bar area, you can't expect them to police it every 15 minutes. We're just grateful they have this awesome perk. The young ladies taking your orders are always pleasant. Food really is righteous and fresh, consistently. We'd prefer this authentic Mexican food to any sit down (or fast food) Mexican restaurant in town - we just get it to go. No ambience, but you don't pay exorbitantly for it either - you just get excellent food, lots of it from an open, clean kitchen. We are patrons about...
