The Process if you have basic insurance with T-mobile:
Friday - Shattered my screen right before midnight (completely black but still turns on), remembered I had basic insurance, logged into T-mobile, submitted my claim to Assurant right away, and agreed to pay a deductible ($30). They said they would reach out within 24 hours. Constantly checked my email for claim approval since I was heading out of town Sunday.
Saturday - Was impatient and went in to CPR Cell Phone Repair to see if I could talk to someone about getting it fixed right away and request a reimbursement from insurance later. Victor was super kind and oh so helpful! He answered all my questions, and wisely told me to wait since it would be pretty expensive without claim approval first especially if I wanted an OEM screen. He also gave me the store info for the city I would be traveling to in case the timing didn't work out. Walked out of the store with a broken phone but really appreciated the advice!
Received an email at 11PM from Assurant to confirm payment method for the deductible, gave them missing info, claim was approved shortly after, and I made an appointment first thing Sunday morning.
Sunday - Dropped off my phone with a different person working the front, and it was repaired within the hour (didn't catch his name but also super nice and helpful). Victor yelled "HELLO!" from the back :)
It's been a few weeks, and my phone screen works exactly as it should. So pleased with my experience at CPR Cell Phone Repair and highly recommend them (and...
Read moreI brought my mobile phone in a couple weeks ago, after stupidly walking into Barton with it in my back pocket. I was told it would be a ~$70 up front fee to for a general cleaning, then if still needed, the screen may need to be repaired at an additional charge, which I was fine with. They did not have a screen in stock so had to order one, thus it took about a week before I got the phone back. While the phone is now 'working', unfortunately, it is not fully functioning. I found out within a day of getting it back that, 1. the camera auto-zoom function no longer works so it is basically impossible to take photos as everything is out of focus, 2. the speaker is still damaged, it makes buzzing noises and I am unable to make calls using speaker phone as no one one the other line can hear me. I have to now use a headset to make calls. While I'm glad to have gotten the phone working at all again, as there was a lot of data on it that I would have lost otherwise, I also cannot say I'm fully satisfied since the phone is no longer fully functional. It may be that these elements were beyond repair due to the water damage so I don't think that I have any recourse as far as bringing it back. Just leaving an honest review. In every other respect the service provided was satisfactory. If they would like to offer to try to make the additional repairs at no extra charge I will be happy to...

I regret ever trusting this place with my iPhone. While I initially praised them, the screen they replaced stopped working just four months later. When I went back, I was shocked—not just by the fact that their warranty is only 30 days, but by how dismissive and unprofessional they were.
The employee and store manager didn’t show the slightest concern. No apology, no responsibility—just completely ignored us. Clearly, they don’t stand behind their work or care about customer satisfaction once the money is paid.
The parts they use are clearly poor quality. If you have an iPhone, skip this place and go to the Apple Store. You’ll pay more, but at least you’ll get a proper repair and respectful service.
I wish I had never stepped foot in this store.
The previous manager Victor is no longer in the store. Wish he was here and would have...
