If I could give zero stars I would. On yesterday 08/31;2024), I visited this location and what I had hoped to be a normal shopping trip turned into being racially profiled. I am aware of the times inwhich we live; however, I was not prepared for this amount of disrespect. Things were going well until I went to the womens fragrance section, were one Caucasian worker instructed her coworker to watch and the coworker did just that. I inquired about a fragrance (MCM), the lady (Carolina) unwilling to help acting as if she was unaware of what I was referencing. I went upstairs to the men’s fragrance section purchased the MCM walked around did more shopping. Once back downstairs I went back to purchase MCM for women. Happy that another worker was there I asked her to help and I purchased my item. At this point the worker ( Carolina) told LP the MCM tester was missing and implied I had taken it. I never touched the particular item in question, shocking to me. Being professional I grounded myself and spoke to a manager. While in shoes talking the original worker who believed I needed to be watched along with my friend followed us to shoes and pretended to be doing something. That was it, I decided Dillard’s did not need my “BLACK” dollars and returned the items. In no way will I be disrespected and embarrassed, over a tester. After this I realized they even called the police on me. Very disheartening to me and I am highly disappointed. I did go to another store and purchase my MCM fragrances. I have never experienced blatant racism to this level, nor watching one lie to feel superior over another based on color or your belief that I do not belong. Dillards please do better, just know you lost a great shopper and I will be sure to spread the word. You better check my previous track record of spending. Thank you for showing me how years of loyalty to your company equals racial profiling, racism, and works who have an inferiority complex and believe because of my color I don’t belong not deserve to be able to be in your store. Be mindful who you lie on and call the police on. I STAND FOR JUSTICE. This is not my last...
Read moreThis review is not for the store. This is for one particular sales associate in the Men's Department at the Domain store. His name is Andrew.
I ordered a custom back in February. The original suits were so poorly made, after 9 months and four alterations, my would-be brand new custom suits looked like suits from someone's old closet.
I called their district manager to get involved and fix the problem. The district manager never spoke to me directly and never returned my call, but apparently she called the store manager to fix it. I get the call from the store manager, and she promised that she will be personally handle the situation. She apparently handed the task off to the sales associate that originally took my order and messed it up. I told the store manager that I don't want to deal with the original sales associate anymore, and I'm ready to cancel the order after ten month of waiting.
I went to the store to tell the store manager to cancel my order and refund my money, but she was on her vacation. That's when Andrew stepped in and he assured that he will do everything in his power to make this right. I felt sincerity in his voice and decided to give him a chance. He called me when the second suite came in unlike with the original sales associate. (with the original sales associate, I had to call to find out the suits were in the store for about a week already.) He even intercepted my suits going out to the original tailor that started the whole mess and sent to the tailor he works with. After two alterations, my suits was perfect. Andrew always kept his promise and his professionalism throughout the whole process of the replacement suits. It's very rare now days to get that kind of customer service from any department store. Dillard's should feel proud that they have an employee that understands what it really means to provide excellent...
Read moreThis location has a really wide selection on the purses and shoes. The only issue I have with it is that the employees in the shoe department were extremely lazy. This older lady assisted me, my mother and my sister. We are all either prior service military or active duty military; overall stand up citizens. Last week I bought some Kurt Geiger sandals from the Shreveport location. This Saturday around 7 pm I attempted to ask the older lady who was assisting me in the shoe department if they had any more Kurt Geiger sandals like mine, so she pointed out some Teva sandals which were the same style, but not the same brand clearly. I decided that I did not want any more of her assistance due to her lack of attention to detail. I asked another lady near the Violette and Chelsea shoes if she could assist me with a shoe and she sighed and asked was I already being helped. I told her the lady was assisting my mom. She came back and told me that they didn’t have the shoe size I wanted in the shoes I wanted and then the lady leaves the section and goes to the other side where she joins with a group of other shoes department employees on the other side leaving people on the other side to scavenger hunt for assistance. My mother asked for her shoe size for about 3 different shoes, and the lady came back with all different sizes which were not the ones she asked for. Last, but not least, the security guard repeatedly shifted his location to every department we visited making it very uncomfortable to shop. I feel as if we were being unnecessarily profiled which is unfortunate because we came ready and...
