Williams Sonoma is going out of business for a reason. They have the worst customer service ever!
My husband bought my a $19.99 potato peeler last year. I’ve used it about 5 times. It broke on Thanksgiving day so I decided to return it and get another one.
I drove 30 miles from Georgetown to Austin as that is the only store still in the Austin area.
The sales associate was ready to exchange the peeler until she asked me when it was purchased. When I told her some time last year she informed me they had a strict 30 day return policy on all items.
Are you kidding me? So, if I purchase an expensive item such as a Kitchen Aid mixer or a cappuccino machine I am out of luck if it breaks on day 31???
This is the reason this company is losing so much money that they are forced to shut down 200 of their stores.
Honestly, would replacing a $19.99 potato peeler actually break them??
If anything, it would produce good will with their customers.

Read moreImhave never shopped here and after My last experience, the one time, I will not ever return. First off the salesman who sold me a knife set told me there was a lifetime warranty when I got home and looked at the receipts. There was nothing of the sort so I called customer service and they told me no there is no lifetime warranty. There’s a limited warranty OK so no fault of the store but the whole policy William Sonoma customer service sucks.
They told me that I could not get a refund nor return receipt online. I had to go back to the store to return it, which is ridiculous. So back to the store I went meanwhile customer service couldn’t even find my order numberbecause they said if I ordered something in the store, they don’t have the ability to see that. Have you ever heard of something as ridiculous as that?
I would...
Read moreHARRASSED BY SALESMAN (even though I had my mask covering my nose and mouth) on April 28, 2021 around 1-2 pm. My elderly mother and I were shopping at this store to buy an (up to $1000) espresso machine.. Our masks were over our noses and mouths as per William Sonoma requirements. This salesman even wanted to see if we needed help (we didn't at the time) then I was told by him to pull my mask up even higher than it already was. To comply, it would of had to have been covering my eyes. So we quietly left, rather than getting into an argument with him. As we were standing in the open door... He loudly announced to the other customers in the store "Thank God, they decided to leave" they must not need any customers, for paid staff to treat their customer base this badly. Seems more about the power, than...
