You can't make a reservation here - just first come first serve. I'm cool with that, so I walk in on a Sunday around 12:45 and am told that the wait for two people would be an hour and half. Eh, I didn't believe the host and say sure that's fine (ended up being an hour, so he wasn't so off, and I knew full well that Sunday brunch would be their busiest time).
The vibe is hip, funky, modern, and cool. They have an awesome menu with a lot of offerings, and they do the best brunch I've seen so far in Austin. If you like to drink during brunch, then I think you'd be really pleased with their alcohol and coffee selection. Boozy espresso drinks? Yas. You can get that iced? Pull ova and pahk the car. With that being said, I didn't drink any alcohol- just a tasty iced caramel latte.
The wait for food was a little long, but totally worth it. My friend and I got the pick three pancakes (the omg one, blueberry danish, and the pineapple upside down cake). My favorite was the blueberry danish, but they were all really good, sweet but not overwhelmingly so.
Then came the main dishes. I got the Bravocado Toast which was amazing - really great flavor, not too heavy, and it felt healthy and fresh. The jam and roasted tomatoes made for a good pairing. My friend got the eggs Benedict avocado toast and liked it but said the English muffin was kind of hard to cut into. Fair enough.
Overall, I was really happy with all of my food. The presentation was very Instagram worthy and the staff was friendly. Glad I waited, but next time I know...

If there’s a breakfast heaven, it’s right here on North Lamar — and its name is Snooze A.M. Eatery. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with the smell of sizzling bacon, freshly brewed coffee, and pure joy. The place is alive — plates clattering, people laughing, forks diving into stacks of pancakes like it’s a competitive sport. Sure, it’s a little loud, but that’s just the sound of happiness echoing off the walls!
Now let’s talk about the Protein Trio Omelet, because GOOD GRAVY, this thing deserves its own fan club. Three fluffy, cage-free eggs loaded with bacon, sausage, ham, and melty Cheddar cheese — the holy trinity (plus one) of breakfast perfection. Served with hash browns so golden and crispy they could double as edible sunshine, and toast that practically sang when it hit the table. This was, without a doubt, the best omelet I’ve ever eaten — a life-altering, fork-dropping, “someone write a song about this” kind of experience. 🥓🧀🥚🎶
The service? Off-the-charts friendly — like everyone working there had personally sworn an oath to make sure my morning was awesome. They nailed it.
So yeah, you might have to shout your conversation over the breakfast buzz, but who cares? When the food’s this good, words are optional anyway. If you want to kick your day off with a flavor explosion and a smile that lasts till dinner, Snooze A.M. Eatery on North Lamar is your new...
Read moreWe have visited Snooze a couple of times before and have liked it in general but we had a pretty bad experience recently which is what this review is about. We reserved 45 min ahead on the app and arrived 10 min before the ETA window start but we were still made to wait 35 more minutes to be seated. There was not too much crowd and tables were definitely empty for a lot of time before being occupied. So, I think it was just slow service. And we also noticed a few other parties got in front of us in the line just because they registered ahead in the app although they arrived well after the check-in time. If that is allowed, then why force us to check-in early? It took another 30 minutes for our food to arrive in spite of us placing the order right after being seated. One of our vegetarian order was messed up 2 different times either with an entirely wrong order or egg being included and it took that order another 30 min to arrive after the rest Finally, we ordered an extra pancake towards the end hoping it would come early but again, it took almost 25 minutes when the entire table was waiting for the order. And that pancake turned out to be under-cooked and bad too.
Overall, a pretty bad experience mostly because of really slow service. I dont think the food is worth the planning and waiting - might as well go to the many other brunch options in Austin with similar or...
