Michaels — Local services in Bangor

Michaels is conveniently located just off Stillwater avenue opposite of the cinema complex. It has a large variety of Craft products , Silk Screening materials , Artist Supplies for the beginners as well as for the experience artist. Also there is an extensive Framing Shop with experienced people to help. Michaels will become the go to store for any bride or groom planning the traditional or non traditional Wedding. They are current with every holiday season with an especially large department full of items for whatever the very next Holiday is. There inventory is tasteful , well made , and abundant . They offer specialty items such as - all you'd need for candy making, metal stenciling , and wood burning . Make your own unique name tags for large groups or for the small intimate gathering of family members you try your best to rarely see or the upcoming office Christmas Party or other required Social gatherings when you bring your Plus 1. All items seemed to be priced well below what I expected. To be honest - the ONLY drawback was when I couldn't find the people I had come into the store with and I asked to have them paged - I was dismissed with " We are allowed to do that ".only to ask a different person who promptly paged my party. I highly recommend this store if you are trying to find a particular item you can't find anywhere else or just for the fun...

Came Bangor from out of state for a large scale decorating job, I went in to Micheal’s and bought 107 items today, most were big floral picks (approximately 2-3 feet long each) with the exception of 5 or 6 spools of ribbon. I spent close to $550 on these items, when we asked the manager for a couple of trash bags to put our product in he first said they only have the paper or reusable bags, which were way too small for our items. When we said those bags wouldn’t work for our items he still refused and was extremely rude. He blamed the “state mandate” on his unwillingness to help. And made ignorant facial expressions at my husband. We even offered to pay for them. I not only had to scan all 107 items individually while 2 employees (the manager included) stood there doing nothing… my husband went next door and the store beside Micheal’s gave us trash bags.. and we didn’t even shop there. Absolutely ridiculous. If I weren’t limited to shopping options here I would have left everything...

I went to Michael’s to get more yarn for my newest knitting project for my grandbabies, and had a very bad experience. The man who checked me out was incredibly rude and dismissive. I tried to have a friendly conversation and he nearly completely IGNORED me and when he did respond it was very passive aggressive. He took a very long time to check me out claiming he could not understand the system, and then charged my card wrong and I had to restart the entire transaction. It was a man around 30 years old with long dark hair and a nose piercing. I’ve been a customer of Michael’s for a long time, and was VERY disappointed in the service I received. I pray no one else has to experience this kind of disrespect at this store. Do better...
