My wife and I visited here on October 7 and 8, 2024 while touring Bar Harbor village and Acadia NP. We enjoyed walking around the pier and snapping photos of beautiful Bar Harbor and all of the boats anchored just offshore. It also has a good-sized pay-by-plate parking lot, but if you plan to park here, you'll need to arrive early in the morning (right at 8:00 am) or it will fill up by 9:00 during peak tourist season. Read moreWe stayed in town for two nights and used this parking area a few times. It’s the best spot to see the harbor and start exploring the town. The area is beautiful with plenty to see and do. If you arrive early, you can watch the fishermen heading out on their boats for the day.
Parking in town is limited but managed well. There are a lot of spaces, but with heavy traffic, it gets harder to find one as the day goes on.
