Sitka Work & Rugged Gear Store — Local services in Baranof Island

Great selection of products and great layout. Horrible, rude, and unhelpful staff.

3 female members of the staff were:

-Unwilling to assist in finding products -Hesitant to accept legitimate returns with proper tags due to slight blemishes in the tag. -General rude, confrontational, and inappropriate body language and tone of voice.

I'm disgusted with my experience interacting with the staff at Work and Rugged. They made me feel like a criminal as a thank you for spending hundreds of dollars of my earned money to support their livelihoods.

This is a shame because someone clearly went through a great deal of effort to create a very nice establishment.

Talk about RUDE and UNWELCOMING crew. They roll their eyes and look down on you. Nice stuff but talk about very horrible service. Felt so judged, especially from a "cashier" they walked up to me and my family 3× within a 15 minutes of shopping... if I needed help, I definitely know where to come. I also seen that the workers weren't asking or hassling anyone else but us. Like they were watching my family like we were gonna shoplift... felt so terrible, just had to leave as soon as possible and find somewhere else to buy OUR...
