I had never had a bad expierence at any other Plato's before this one opened up. They vaccuum the store every night with customers still in the store and drag the cord across the floor so that you literally have to hop over it while you're trying to look through the racks. The clothes there seem to be a good mix of what I would expect to see at a PC and what I would expect to see at a good will on the west side. I've also taken in a bag of my friends clothes that were torrid brand with tags still on them and purchased the same season and the ENTIRE BAG was passed. I was told it was because some of the styles were out of season but im guessing it was really because they were clothes from a plus size store, and the cashier personally was turned off by them, Im not sure. The kids they have checking the bags though are not competent and whether or not they accept your clothing is completely random. Unless they are being babysat while they go through the bag, or you have connections with someone who works there they will pass the entire thing or take it all. Accepting torn and dirty clothes just to help your friend get a few bucks from your store while youre passing on bags of clothes that contain 3 week old 80.00 jeans with tags still on them is the same as stealing from the store in my opinion. Shame that we finally get a PC closer to home and the owners fill it with incompetent children to...
Read morePlatos closet is just an over priced thrift store that flips wish/temu items on the side. For example this location is selling croc charms that they purchased on temu at less than 10 cents a piece for a dollar each. They buy a lot of super cheap items and upcharge them even though they claim to sell everything at less than retail. They aren't honest about this practice either, which is what led me to make this review. when I pointed out in a comment that no one should pay a dollar for a single croc charm because you can buy 30+ for 1.97 on temu they deleted my comment almost immediately.. so shady it was comical. I personally stopped shopping at platos when I noticed the overwhelming amount of SheIn clothes on the racks priced higher than what shien had them listed for. Skip platos and just go thrifting. It's actually a common practice for resellers to go thrifting, rip out date tags and immediately take all the thrifted clothing to Plato's closet to flip. So you're really not saving any money at Plato's closet. I'll be surprised if this review isn't somehow removed but in the case that it isn't, save your money by NOT...
Read moreI wouldn't waste my time going there to sell unless you're just into buying your clothes from the mall the day before and looking to get a quick buck for them (yes, just one dollar). I brought things in new with tags from this summer and bins full of barely worn basically new of all the brands they were asking for, what I considered "on-tread" clothes. And they had the audacity to tell me that my things were out of style. Did I just bring in clothes from the 80's? It even made me question myself. But since apparently my clothes were out of style, but as I look around I see a "Nike" shirt that looks like it was printed at a T-Shirt shop that looked clearly very worn and a pair of boots that looks like they fought a Native American to get them off of and just all around ugly clothes, frankly I wouldn't let my dog wear that, let alone dress any human in it. I'm not really sure what it is they are looking for because it either has to be new things in the mall right now or worn out cheap things, there is no inbetween. Good Luck to anyone trying to sell things to them. I will NEVER as long as I live go to...
