Pet Supermarket — Local services in Bartow

The store is nice. The people working there are nice. Mostly organized and clean. There are a lot of options on most items. The biggest issue is price. This store is great, maybe for someone with their first pet, the personnel are very friendly and knowledgeable so they can definitely help you get set up. For long-time pet owners with financial obligations, this doesn't work well. I have really only shopped here a couple of times, first when I wanted to get something nice for my daughter for her guenia pig. I was unsure of what items were best. Secondly, when the aforementioned pet passed and she brought home a hedgehog. Who knows how to take care of this thing? The folks here do . After that, when refills were needed, they were far cheaper online. I personally have 2 very large dogs and buy high-quality food. They carry this as well but at roughly 10% higher cost. With how much my dogs cost with food, treats, medications, and supplies, I would have to sacrifice one of these needed items if I were to shop here. I recommend this place if buying small quantities or first-time pet owners, but any more than that, the cost increase becomes...

Update: its the following day and now when I pick up my elderly dog he is CRYING IN PAIN!!!! ..................... The people you bring in to give the shots are horrific. My elderly dog is a breed that is high strung until the day he dies. He is a PAPERED Miniature Pinscher and every expert specifically states THEY ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE! I have raised him since he was 5 weeks old and I am well aware of this breed and their temperament and how massively stubborn they are. HENCE WHY THEY COINED THE NAME "THE KING OF TOY BREEDS"!!! They dug the needle around his arm for way too long and injured him. THEY WAY THEY AGRESSIVELY TREATED HIM IS BEYOND DISGUSTING. Being in the pet business they should know not every dog is perfect but I will tell you this my dog is perfect for me! I am beyond livid at the comments they made when they were the ones that set my dog off. For one example... Telling me my dog is ridiculous while 4 of them were holding down and 11 lb 13 year old dog AND TELLING ME HE NEEDS TRAZADONE.... I will make sure I tell everyone what garbage you are and how you treat people's...

The store manager Tony is very rude, disrespectful, and definitely don't know about customer service this guy need to take some training about how to thread customer. My name is Dolores I live in Lakeland Florida I went to the Lakeland store to use a store credit to purchase a Midwest Ferret Nation Cage unfortunately this Pet Supermarket store didn't be able to get my store credit because the register system was different so they told me to go to the Bartow store before I went there I call to be sure they take the store credit over the phone the store manager Tony was very rude but he told me if I pay the cage Friday he can send the cage to Lakeland store and I can get the cage. When I arrived to the store Tony was very understanding, very rude, very argumenta, told me that all the store have the same system that he can't take the cage to Lakeland I ask him to call the Lakeland store refuse to call, no definitely he have to be bipolar because switch like a light switch. I bring my concern to corporate. This manager Tony don't even deserve a 1 star I wish I can...
