What can I say? I love Dillard's for their merchandise and customer service. I had the most pleasant encounter with 2 Dillard's associates on 8/28/24. My first encounter with Nora was so delightful! Nora on the 3rd floor ladies, saved the day for me. I was looking for a shawl that was advertised in the 65% off email. Nora went above and beyond trying to find that shawl for me. Even after checking with a colleague on the other side of the floor, who told her, and had also told me earlier, that she hasn't seen the shawls on the floor since covid, Nora still persistently searched for the shawls. Upon realizing they weren't on the floor, she had one last suggestion-- to look in accessories on the second floor. BINGO! There they were. I'm so glad Nora didn't give up on me and walk away like the first associate--the colleague she and I had previously asked-- but she just told me they didn't have them and walked away from me. Thank God I found Nora, and she had a spirit of service. Thank you, Nora!
My second encounter was with Sloane in the jewelry/Coach department. When u first entered the department there was one lady at the watch counter, but I didn't catch her before she locked up and moved toward the cologne. So, I looked for the earrings and I found a pair in the case, but no one was around. I felt I was wondering aimlessly for about 1-2 minutes, and then our of nowhere, I heard this really friendly voice asking if I needed help. Sloane can tell you my response was desperate and grateful! I was so glad to hear a human voice. Sloane, was so very helpful and patient helping me to pick out 4 pairs of sterling silver earrings. She was so knowledgeable, professional and kind. She gave me very good advice on the earring selection, and even gave me advice I solicited on a beautiful necklace I almost bought. She told me I could dress it up or go casual with it. Ultimately, she told me the decision was mine. I liked the way she didn't pressure sell, and gave some very salient advice.
Nora and Sloane made my shopping experience at Dillard's very successful and pleasant. Just when I thought it was going to be a fruitless trip, these 2 associates made my day!...
   Read moreI had the BEST customer experience during my recent trip to Dillard's. I was visiting Cleveland for the weekend from Chicago and at the last minute I decided that I wanted to celebrate my birthday - Barbie-style. Thus, I was in search of a pink dress to wear for a birthday dinner that evening with my 90-year old great aunt whose was also celebrating her birthday. Raquel Reid was the associate who helped me. She is AMAZING! Not only did she help me find the perfect dress but when I realized that I needed a new bra (so that the dress would fit perfectly), she was able to help me with that as well. Rachel left the women's department to assist me with getting fitted with the perfect bra. She mentioned to me that women's bras/lingerie is her specialty and I could definitely tell that was the case. As a full figure woman, I have always gone to specialty shops to get fitted (never a department store); however, Raquel changed all that for me. She fitted me perfectly! And in doing so I realized that the specialty stores had actually been fitting me improperly. WOW! The last thing I will share is that Raquel also recommended a Gianni Bini shoe that was on clearance that was a perfect match for my dress. She does not know this (until this review) but I bought the shoe and it got lots of compliments on my outfit. Thank you so much Raquel for the time you invested in making sure I had what I needed to make my Barbie birthday dinner special. You clearly take pride in what you do and put customers first - which did not go unnoticed by me. I want to also shout out a few other associates working on the 2nd floor that afternoon (8/18) who greeted me warmly and asked if they could assist me while I was racing through the store in search of the perfect pink dress (I thanked each of them and told them that Raquel was already assisting me). Hats off to you as well! When in Cleveland, Dillard's Beachwood will definitely be my go-to...
   Read moreI was shopping for something formal. Started at Nordstrom's no selection and no one asked if I needed help. Same at Zara, Saks Fifth Avenue and all the way throgh the mall. Went to Dillards which is where I should have started. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Such a pleasure!! Took the elevator to the second floor to start. The Ladies that helped me there, one was Indian and one was white, were very pleasant and helpful. Directed me to the third floor. Every employee we walked by spoke to us and asked if we needed any help. Went to the third floor where Lana took excellent care of me. Put me in a dressing room and brought me everything in my size that was appropriate for the occasion. Rang me up efficiently. Directed me to the first floor for shoes. Passed one of the ladies from the second floor who recognized us and greeted us again. So nice, I'm sorry I don't know everyone's name. At the shoe department Brenda took excellent care of us. Got my friend shoes in her size. Didn't have my size in the shoes that I wanted so she ordered them and is having them shipped in time for my event. Went to accessories where David greeted us as we walked by and rang us up when we were ready with exuberance and professionalism. Asked Brenda to call a supervisor down so we could give praise of our experience. Angelica came down and was so glad to hear of our wonderful experience. Bill.... this is the way a store should be run. Thank you to you for training all of your employees with kindness, enthusiasm and professionalism.
