Started this journey a year ago to have Ticknor’s custom fit and tailor suits for my wedding. 9 suits total - each at around $400 with pants, shirt, jacket, pocket square and tie. It is always a nice option for everyone to be able to purchase instead of rent, so we did just that. We mainly dealt with Scott who was helpful throughout the process even with the following blunders. First, they bring everyone in to fit just the jacket. Then send everyone home. Then you go in again, to have the shirt, pants and coat tailored. Lastly you go in once again to try everything on for a final fitting. IF everything fits, you’re good to go. Unfortunately this is where Ticknor’s lacked the most experience. 4 of 6 suits measured from their location were wrong. Some were cut 2” high on the pant and more than 3” short on the jacket. Again, creating more trips back to the store where some lived over 2 hours away. I had one groomsmen go in for his final fit and they still had chalk and pins in the shirt and pants, never even touched for over a month. They lost his pocket square and tie, which had to be overnighted to their store the day of the wedding, and still the pocket square was wrong. My father had to have his pants lengthened more than 2”. I (groom) had to have my pants lengthened more than an inch and I just did this at another Ticknor’s store because of the mishaps that had happened at Beachwood locations. We spent more than $4000 on these suits and I’ll tell you, i wish we had done this elsewhere. They make look nice from the outside but they seriously lack in inexperience. They did give the Father of the Bride a $50 gift card for their mistakes, but nothing to the actual groom who had to hear every mistake that they made over the phone. I recently visited Ticknors Men's Clothier for a suit purchase and alterations. While their product range boasts high-quality items with a plethora of styles, colors, and designs, I found the customer service to be lacking.

Regrettably, the staff appeared inadequately trained, displaying judgmental attitudes and resorting to uncomfortable pressure sales techniques. Moreover, their organizational efficiency was poor; I was required to actively follow up on the readiness of my altered suit rather than receiving timely notifications. Reflecting my mixed sentiments, I am inclined to assign a rating of 3 stars. Although the establishment showcases great potential owing to its superior products, substantial enhancements are imperative in refining their customer service etiquette and...

My brother, future father-in-law, and I all needed suits for my wedding. At Ticknors we met Matthew, who took excellent care of us. He helped us find the suits and accessories that we wanted, which were untraditional, rather than pushing what he thought we should wear.

When taking measurements for the suits, Matthew listened to how we wanted them altered. Once they were altered, I decided that I wanted the pants slimmer, and he remeasured and realtered the pants. My brother decided he wanted to be measured closer to the wedding date, which Matthew allowed/helped him to do. All three of us were thrilled with the final suits!
