I came on my first visit to get an estimate for implants and bridge. I received my quotes and left. I made a follow up appointment to get some work started. A bridge. During the visit they took x-rays and noticed that a tooth I had a root canal done on seemed infected. They took detailed imaging and said they cant tell if it still has a root and said i need to see a specialist. They then decided that its not an issue and to still go on and they would just do the prep work for the bridge which required them the shape and grind down two tooth for the bridge and would just put on temp caps until I get the specialist to re-treat the root canal on the one tooth they grind. They asked my to step out front and pay $2800, my portion for the work $1375 out of pocket for two porcelain caps and two tooth bridge. I paid and issuance covered about $1400 which MAXED out my insurance for the year. So i went to the specialist they referred me to. What a joke. I walked in sat in the chair and he looked at the tooth tapped it with a tool and asked if i felt pain. I said No. He pulled out a small square film, held it with forceps to my tooth and took an x-ray with a small x-ray gun. The image popped up in seconds and he said "yeah you need my services it looks like there are two roots that need filled. The assistant will set you up with pain mitigation and an appointment". And he walked out. They said it would be $1600 upfront to do the work as my insurance was maxed out. Like no way. Its MAXED out because DDS Dentures charge for the bridge work they haven't completed yet. SO instead of sending me to the specialist knowing i had an issue they charge me and my insurance to GAURANTEE they go their money even with out doing the work.
SO now I have to pay $1600 out of pocket or wait 4 months for a new year to start on my insurance. AND IM out $1375 already for work that cant be done.
SO now its a new year I go back and the ENDO has covid and i have to wait. I go back to DDS Dentures and they said they could do another process while I wait. An Implant now and they want $3600 upfront. Like What? No way. I said I pay insurance upfront every pay check. Call and get them to approve it. No this is our policy to charge upfront and when insurance pays we will put a credit on your account for when you come back.. Like what? A credit on my account for me to use when I come back? I don't plan on coming back? Why would I want you to hold $1500 in your account for a future appointment I may or may not have.
THIS IS CRAZY!!!!!!
After a 4 months I still do not have this...
Read moreI needed to see the dentist asap, I had a toothache that was almost unbearable. DDS Dentures + Implants worked me into the schedule for the next day (Wednesday) @1:30. I go to the appointment and I'm quickly xrayed and dentist determined that tooth needed to be pulled. I asked if it could be pulled the same day. Dentist said "I don't see why not." I waited and the office lady came and asked for my insurance card.. I had given card at reception window, like at every Dr office I've ever been to. Ok I wait some more. The office lady comes back, says my insurance was no longer valid. I said, "no way," so I look at her paper, and she still had my old insurance on paper. I explained to her, just like I had done at reception window, that I had changed dental insurance since my last visit. So I wait again, still in pain! The insurance lady comes back says she can't find me on computer but then she caught her mistake. She had written the number down wrong. She leaves and I wait. She comes back saying she'll call first thing in the morning. I asked her to see if I could get something for the pain. She comes back and says to take ibuprofen. I say I can't take it I have liver problems and I can't. She leaves and comes back said the dentist could only write me prescription for 800mg ibuprofen. I said no I'll just keep talking tylenol, which weren't helping anymore. It's Monday of the next week I just had tooth pulled at another office and DDS Dentures +Implants still hasn't called and when I called them a computer told me to leave a message. I had already left several messages. If you must use one of these fast denture places, use the one on college street. If I had it to do over again I would have mine done at All NeedZ Dental in Kountze. They are the ones who pulled my tooth today and will be remaking my...
