Let's set the stage for this conversation. I applied back in April and signed my lease to not move in until June. Was told they would honor special and allow me to see my apartment before moving in. Neither was done. I called weeks in advance and was told a different story each time but promised they would make sure it was perfect and this is the reason I could not see my apartment. The day of asked, let me see my apartment before i have the movers bring my things over. Nope purposely waited till last minute to give my keys which would of been fine if my apartment was livable. Instead of saying hey aparmtment is not ready, let's move till this day."" The reason they would not do this is per lease agreement. If your apartment is not ready on the date in writing, you can cancel your lease. My apartment is roach invested, dirty old cabinet smells. I had to have my cleaners come out to re clean after they swore the reason i could not see my apartment is because the cleaners were doing their job. Cleaners said specifically this apartment was the worst they ever seen and they never have apartments ready for move in. I asked for some kind of compensation. At this point, move me to another unit or let me out of my lease. I can not put anything down on my floor for roaches everywhere. I asked them to come spray some guy brought a can I can get at a store myself. I asked them to wear shoe covers when entering my place they dont have any. I asked for my vents to be cleaned and smoke detectors to be changed. I have sent several emails TO corporate no response. I have not responded to the corporate, but there was no. NO RESPONSE from corporate or them. I cry every day because of how horrible this experience has been. Please come back here in a few hours once i can upload pictures as proof that was also sent to them to their email. When asked did they get my email, the young lady said Tabitha never sent it to corporate. Noone cares about you anymore it seems its all a big money grab. NOONE should have to live or be treated like this ever. Please please please please please do not move here. Make sure to NOT sign your leaee before physically seeing your unit not a test or demo unit YOURS. If you want to see my unit as proof, I would be happy to help someone not make the same mistake I did!!
Update: They came out the next day assessed the issue to look at the apartment asked me what I wanted to do. I asked then if i could get out of my lease they Diana and lead maintenance insisted they make it right put me in another unit. Said a week turned into 2 almost 3 weeks. I asked in the meantime can yoi put me up so I can stop living in my car to eat etc. They said they could not accomadate. However found a unit to put me in THE SAME BUILDING!! If you dont think that an investitation in one unit would not be in another baffles me. She took days to get back to me. If this is how I will be treated if I stay no maam on top of everything else I asked can I please get out of my lease with no penalties, fees or derogautory reports on my credit. She said let her speak with her manager. She called me back via phone within 4 hours said yes I am able to get out of my lease without reports or penalities. We also agreed that I would remove what I could and the rest they would throw out and keep my deposit. They agreed to honor the one month free while i find a place. I have been trying to turn in my keys now for almost 2 weeks. I asked for a letter and itemized statement to ensure I would not be charged. She agreed at first to meet me. That drawn out lie days later says I will have the letter sent when you are coming. I drive an hour to the apartment they say she is in a meeting and cannot take any calls. I have been more than patient but I think the lack of respect, empathy, professionalism, and morals the management down to staff have is unreal. Let me contact my best friend Tiffani jackson news journalist. Yes google her pleasssee. This is...
Read moreOh man where do I even start I hate complaining trust me I’m not trying to be a Karen here, I didn’t wanna leave a bad review I never do this but I'm beyond fed up. I’ll do my best to give my deeply honest input on this place. So first things first, overpriced on rent and did not get my February months rent free as promised on the move in date so watch out they will try and get you on that. Another thing I’m paying around 1800 a month for a little bitty 700 sq apartment and that’s not all bills included but whatever right ? And the amount of problems I deal with, pool is never open it’s always broken, been here for 2 years now and I think they only had the pool open one time and if they do open, its once in a blue moon, something breaks next day . Also I would like to mention we were promised a new refurnished apartment first day of move in so we asked about the carpets being replaced because the previous renters were filthy and the carpets we had, had dog urine molded into the carpets which was disgusting you could actually see the circle rings of the spots .Unfortunately I had to rent a shampooer out of my expenses to get it all out myself. I had brought this to the office attention and they didn’t seem to care or did not want to replace it for us as new move ins .This place has been a nightmare living here due to the amount of troubleshoots as far as A/C not working, Bathroom repairs, Floods, Mold build up, cracks in outside doors etc. I would like to also mention if your electric bill is high most likely it’s because your having to run your AC consistently because of all the air coming inside from all the cracks in the doors so make sure you spot this out if you have the same problem. These past two years I’ve been here, these issues have been affecting my daily routine and are becoming increasingly difficult to manage. I come home from a 12 hour shift and there is always something I gotta fix because calling maintenance is like getting ahold of the tooth fairy. It’s like when you notify something needs to be fix the guy is like I’ll put a pin in it and never get back to it so guess what you gotta know how to fix things yourself . This is the 3rd time I have had a flood in my apartment because of sink problems and maintenance and management was notified and don’t seem to care each time. I have pictures and video documentation of all the horror stories I’ve had here. I’m sorry for all the complaining but a person can only take so much to the point where there egg shell cracks a bit. So please if I could give you my honest opinion stay away from this place for your peace of mind. I’ll go ahead and add...
Read moreI do not know where to begin since I tend to not leave bad reviews! My mom and I have lived here for about ten years, about to be eleven years. The old owners were good, but the new owners are cheap. We moved into a bigger apartment on the first floor about 2-3 years ago since I got married and my mom got married shortly after. The apartment we live in now has major roach issues, and we also have some brown recluse issues. We have honestly tried everything we could on our own, from deep cleaning the apartment once a month, taking trash out daily, and cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom every day. We went to the point of paying around $200 to spray around our apartment ourselves (it didn’t help with the roach problem either, but did help with the brown recluse problem) since the apartment's pest control never really shows up, and if they do, they do not spray like a typical apartment would; they use some gel stuff that doesn't even do anything. I asked the pest control person about it before, and he said that is what the owners paid for, and he said it might not help, especially if there is a significant problem within the walls. We told the apartment about it, and they sprayed once inside the cabinets, which didn’t help either. Pest control hasn’t come by for around six months so far; they are supposed to come every first Tuesday of every month, according to what was stated. We pull out our fridge, stove, and sometimes dishwasher to clean behind them for roach droppings and shells (usually every month). Our dishwasher also does not work. We have said something about it since we moved into the bigger apartment. The sink water will go into the dishwasher (which has to be emptied by hand or by a machine or it starts to smell) and it will start blinking when you try to run it, so we stop using it altogether since the apartments refuse to hire an electrician or an actual plumber. Trying to use the dishwasher and the plug above the counter will cause a breaker problem. Since we moved, my bathroom has paint hanging down from the ceiling around the bathroom vent area, and maintenance said we can’t do anything about that except rip it off. We will probably move and throw out most of our electronics when our lease is up, so that we won’t carry the roach problem. Unless they can control the pest problem, I will leave this review up. If they do get it under control, I will update...
