The tall ceilings, obstructed view of downtown Bellevue, and free parking convinced us to rent with Milano in the summer of 2017- 2018. The leasing staff were friendly and the apartment itself was very quaint, compared to the rest of Bellevue. That said a few thing's stood in the way from us enjoying our leasing experience with Milano. Specifically:
Frequent fire alarm failures around 2-5 am on the weekends (once to twice a month near the end of our stay), resulting in the fire department showing up and residents evacuating. Plumbing/water pressure problems. The master bathroom sink would stop working if you used hot water longer than 20 seconds. The shower also had bad water pressure due to the build up of salt in the drains. -The water was acidic (measured at pH 4). -The balcony blinds were fragile and fell off whenever we accessed our balcony. -The balcony screen door fell off often and never really got fixed. -Whenever it rained hard enough we could visibly watch water drip down from side of the microwave onto the oven. This was reported and never fixed. Multiple break-ins into the garage. They offered window air conditioning units when it got hot in the summer which was nice. Unfortunately they did a pretty shoddy instillation, nailed into the side of my window frame for support, and the units were full of dust mites. We faced west and our apartments cooked in the...

I'm an experienced renter with excellent credit. We lived here for one year, and while the interiors seem nice at first glance, our experience was abysmal: Plumbing/water pressure problems lasting 6 months despite constant maintenance requests Towel racks fell off the walls Frequent fire alarm failures after midnight Cabinet handles broke off from normal, non-excessive use Blinds have repeatedly broken and fallen Washing machine controls were broken Our microwave LEAKS (reported, never fixed) Acidic tap water (measured at pH 4) that has visibly corroded the piping; residue broke several of our own shower head attachments (see attachment). 2 break-ins into the gated garage, as reported by management And one of us was even bedridden due to dust mites attributed to a very old AC unit installed last Summer (which we were told was a luxury we should be thankful for) We also had dog dropping residue on our blinds from a previous tenant, which was not cleaned.
After one year, we told the owners (who drive expensive convertibles and take luxury vacations) that we wouldn't be renewing. We're all much happier now at...
Read moreDidn't realize at the time, but I attempted to purchase a used treadmill from what I would learn is management of this establishment in some capacity. After thorough messaging about the timing of the sale, I explained that it would take me 1.5 hr to get there is traffic and notified them when I was in route. I arrived to the item being loaded in to someone else's vehicle. No remorse, no apology, only, "first come, first serve". Simply asked that they would have let me know before driving all the way there or at minimum while I was in route. Then they explained that they made more money selling it to someone else. I said great, make this right by giving me some gas money. Nope, "first come, first". Self-serving interest, not exactly the type of business practice that I'd get involved with, whether its selling a piece of equipment or renting an...
