Absolutely frustrating and very disappointing experience; I would never attempt a return visit. I can only speak to the customer service of Truce Spa as my appointment was lost or never made? On May 3rd I called and scheduled an appointment for the Escape Package including a facial, massage, manicure and pedicure. The woman I spoke to booked me an appointment for the afternoon of Mothers Day May 12th and after completing the booking she took down my credit card information to hold the appointment. However, when I called on May 11th to confirm my arrival time I was informed that none of the 4 appointments had been made and that they no longer had room to accomodate the Escape Package. The receptionist was professional enough though somewhat lacking in empathy as this had been both a birthday gift and my mother's day plans. It is now the day before Mothers Day and we are scrambling to come up with new plans. To add insult to injury after ai hung up my husband pointed out that I had provided credit card information and that the Spa may be able to look up my information/appt thru the card number. I called back and received the vm; I requested a call back so that we could verify that my appt and credit card hadn't been recorded under an incorrect name. Instead of a call I received a text message back stating "thank you for your call back. You do not have an appointment for tomorrow." No attempt to make sure that the appointment wasn't under the wrong name or possibly on the wrong date. Very...
Read moreHorrible massage from Lisa. Was exactly like going to the inexpensive, walk-in, keep your clothes on type massage parlor. Not that those are inherently bad, but if you go to a luxury spa, and pay spa prices, that’s definitely not what you’d expect. Had to ask her three times to slow her pace down—it was like she was trying to start up a fire, lol. I also asked her at the beginning to focus on my neck and back, but she processed me very systematically. I felt like I was like a task for her to complete. Not relaxing at all, and it ended with her pounding the bottom of my feet. If I’d been able to melt in at all that would have been a very abrupt finishing touch. Absolutely not a spa grade massage, and felt like a wasted hour. We were there for a couples massage, and honestly the only thing that kept me on the table was the respect for not disturbing my husband’s experience. Otherwise my naked buns would have been gone after 15-20 minutes of tolerance. Pros: atmosphere was very pleasant and peaceful, and the other staff extremely friendly. My husband had one of the best massages he’s been given. His masseuse was Patrick, who was super zen. I wanted a Patrick-like person to be my masseuse, too.
If you do go here query who your masseuse will be when you set up the appointment. Just do yourself a favor and ask...
Read moreWe have been coming here for years and have happily referred many others and often given gift certificates to Truce Spa as presents to friends and family and service has always been good up until our last visit. I booked a facial and massage for my wife on Mother's Day and after her massage was completed, she was taken to the lounge to wait for her esthetician, who showed up 10 minutes late and proceeded to inform my wife that she was going to need to skip some of the facial services and rush in order to be done on time. Ultimately, the facial service lasted half of the time that was booked and paid for. After requesting a refund for the facial, I was denied and instead offered a $20 credit for future services and was told that my wife did in fact get a full-length facial and her and I were wrong. Now, I understand and know that things happen and no business is perfect, but for me; it gets down to how a business reacts and responds to an error they made with the intent to remedy the situation with a client, and Truce Spa fell flat on their face to do right by a good client over a measly $104, which will cost them far more in the long run as we will no longer give them...
