Hands down best product Iv had in my hands. The amount of quality in each peace is undeniable. Built to last and built to work harder than any other. Best of all is the customer support!! Crazy fast response time I’m talkin crazy fast!!! They will get you all the info you need quicker then you can refresh you email! Like the Chick-fil-A of customer service. When you call they are down to earth people that work hard, my guy literally ran laps in the building searching for the drill bit size I needed for install. I could hear him out of breath. I don’t know if I can say enough good things about them but my hats off to all of them for treating a nobody like me with such care and effort. Again no issues on product or shipping just had a random question on hole sizing and wow they were on it. Outstanding dudes out freakin standing !!!!! Cheers !!! Just finish install on my 2016 Tacoma access cab and animas 21” rack. Took me about a full day to complete but took my time and measure twice kinda thing. With my set up what I figured out was about 7” from the windshield was where I wanted my forward mounting block to be on the forward side of the block. This gave me the max travel back for the front plate to not hit the roof and the maximum amount of adjustability. Drilling the hols is always nerve racking but was over it after the first on. Drill stops are a must and step up in size as you go. With that said the are was safe to drill in and did not see any air bags or wires through the holes that where 7/16 big, so you could see pretty easy. Just an open area but trim is still there. The rivnuts they send are longer than normal rivnuts making a rivnut gun not an option. Do it by hand is what I had to do. And If I do it again I’d go slightly smaller holes then the recommended 7/16 maybe. You have to tap them in even at that size and is easy enough but takes more to start them once in at the start. The rivnuts they use expand more on the underside but you need to go until you feel the torque increase bottoming them out is what I found. More surface area to hold it on the underside is what I’m thinking they where after. Normally rivnuts to not expand that much on the underside and that’s what wears out over time with vibration. The silicone they use is good but I chose to go with a more harder sealant and that would help adhere as well as seal and last longer I think. I did then silicone around the base after install just to help prevent water entry and corrosion. In the end I will say not a install for beginners. Very happy with the materials they used all top quality hardware sent you everything you need but a rivnut hand tool which would be nice considering it would cost them hardly anything and save you a trip to hardware store. Some basic instructions maybe for that style of rivnut would be great info to have on hand and maybe a couple extra just in case one doesn’t go well and then your sitting there with a hole in your roof looking for this type of rivnut which wasn’t at any of my hardware stores. Very very happy to have it up and on looks great top notch quality all around in materials and outstanding...
Read moreSherpa Equipment Company not only manufactures high quality products, has excellent customer service, but reaches out in support of many off-road communities. Sherpa recently donated one of their roof racks to an off-road community event in my area, and I was the lucky raffle winner of a Sherpa roof rack of my choice. I was so overwhelmed with excitement. I chose the Crestone Peak series full-length rack. This would be my first experience installing a roof rack, and although Sherpa provides a very informative installation video, I still had a few questions related to proper tightening of the mounting bolts so as not to crush the bonded washers. Every time I had a question, I could call their customer service or send an email and get an immediate reply. There was one instance where I didn't even leave a message, and someone called my phone number asking how they could help. Amazing! I sent them photos of the areas on the rack where I had install questions. With their guidance, I was able to get the bolts secured properly for a water-tight fit, and I do mean water-tight! I flooded the mounting points with water plus we had 2 days of constant rain in my area. No leaks! The rack is solid! Sherpa's customer service was top-notch and I can't thank them enough for their awesome help, patience, generosity and...
Read moreRoof Track Load Bar System (Pair) & Sherpa Antenna Mount. The Sherpa Load Bars and Antenna Mount (L-bracket for NMO) were easy to install, appear to be excellent quality in all regards, and look great on my Ford F-250. Typically, I've found that there is always one screw that doesn't thread well or some other issue with almost everything. No so with the Sherpa Load Bar System and Antenna Mount. Every detail of the load bars and antenna bracket were machined with precision. When considering load bar options, the Sherpa bars were at a competitive price point and came in 4 different lengths. For my F-250, I wanted bars that extended a few inches beyond the T-tracks of my SmartCap. The SmartCap has gull-wing doors that limit the length of load bars. After talking with Sherpa Customer Service, I decided to try the 55" load bars. They installed easily and provided a few inches of clearance to the opened gull-wing doors. The immediate use for the load bars in my situation was for a dual-band ham radio antenna. The Sherpa L-shaped antenna mount installed easily, looks great, and securely holds the NMO-mount mobile antenna. I'm exceptionally pleased with these Sherpa products, Sherpa's customer service, and give them my highest...
