If I could give 6 stars, I would.

As an Italian-American who grew up with sauce simmering on Sundays, pasta made by hand, and a Nonna who could silence a room with a wooden spoon — let me tell you, I do not hand out compliments lightly when it comes to Italian food. But V&M Bistro? V&M makes me feel like I’ve stepped into my family’s dining room — only with better lighting and cocktails.

I’ve been coming here for years now, and every single time I walk through those doors, it’s like coming home. Vincenza and Margherita have created something so rare — a restaurant that blends old-school tradition with modern, elevated comfort. And their staff? Top-tier. From the hosts to the bartenders to the servers who know my name (and my drink), they treat you like famiglia.

Let’s talk food. Their scratch-made gnocchi bolognese is one of my love languages. Pillowy, melt-in-your-mouth perfection swimming in a rich, hearty sauce that could bring a tear to your eye. The agnolotti? Hands down, the best I’ve had outside of Italy. Every forkful makes you feel like you’re in on some generations-old culinary secret.

I don’t say this lightly: their Sicilian pizza might be the best in the region. That crust is airy and crisp in all the right places, the cheese blend is rich and flavorful, and the sauce has just the right bite. And I dare you to try the eggplant parmigiana without falling in love. It’s layered, balanced, and baked to perfection — like Nonna’s, if she had a Michelin star.

But what really sets V&M apart isn’t just the food — it’s the heart. You can taste it in every bite, feel it in every interaction. The owners often stop by tables just to check in, and it never feels like a show — it feels like care. Like home. Like tradition carried forward the right way.

If you're looking for a place that honors the roots of Italian cooking while delivering a refined, unforgettable dining experience, this is it. V&M Bistro is more than a restaurant — it's a return to something meaningful.

Grazie mille to everyone at V&M for making every visit feel like Sunday dinner with my family. I’ll be back next week. And the week after that. And the...

If you haven’t yet discovered V&M Bistro on Marsh Road in Wilmington, you’re in for an extraordinary treat. This delightful family-run establishment isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a heartfelt experience where every meal is made with love and a touch of culinary magic.

From the moment you walk through the door, you’re welcomed into a space that feels like an extension of your own home—only better. The owners and staff, true to their family-run roots, treat every guest with a warmth and genuine hospitality that makes you feel like a cherished member of their inner circle. It’s the kind of family you actually enjoy being around!

Now, let’s talk about the food. V&M Bistro takes comfort food to a whole new level with their array of homemade delights. Their pizzas are nothing short of spectacular, boasting a perfect balance of crispy crust, rich sauce, and generous toppings that come straight from the heart. The homemade pasta is an absolute standout, cooked to perfection and enveloped in sauces that are both savory and soul-satisfying. Don’t miss their homemade soup, which is the epitome of cozy, and the garlic knots—fluffy, buttery, and irresistibly delicious.

But it’s not just the food that’s remarkable. The mixed drinks are expertly crafted, each one a testament to the bistro’s commitment to quality and creativity. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic cocktail or something a bit more adventurous, you’re sure to be delighted. And the wine selection? It’s thoughtfully curated to offer a range of options that complement the menu beautifully.

V&M Bistro isn’t just about dining; it’s about connecting with a place that feels like a warm hug in culinary form. With their incredible homemade dishes, outstanding drinks, and the genuine care they extend to every guest, it’s clear that V&M Bistro is a Wilmington treasure. For a dining experience that wraps you in comfort and joy, make sure V&M Bistro is at the top...

Came here a lot before because their sicilian pizza and pizzas are good. I have to seriously consider whether I will come back here again. I have let a lot of things slide because the food is good but the way I was treated by the server and the owner Margarita further affirms their poor customer service. When I pointed out my concern about being charged twice for a modified dish, namely $ 4.00 for a change in sauce and $2.00 for substituting broccoli instead of spinach, I was met with the server walking off when I asked for them to adjust it and Margarita who is one of the owners having the audacity to tell me that she checked the cameras to make sure I ordered what was on the receipt. I never said I didnt order the dish so stop manipulating what actually happened. I said the pricing and two additional charges to a regular customer is unheard of. She continually argued with me so I paid. Your customer service is poor and any time I ask for a modification you feel attacked. Such a shame as this is one of the only good restaurants in Delaware but after all it is Delaware where they cant handle confrontation. Also your food is already so overpriced as it is for this to happen. You are just plain rude. This is a family business and the brother and mom are way nicer and know how to provide real customer service. But the sisters Vincenza and Margarita have a different mentality and are pleasant personally but not business wise. Also from my observations they provide much better service to their super regular customers. It seems they don't want to give anything off because they have to pay for the lousy band they have on Wednesdays and their...

I went to Vincenza's & Margherita Italian Bistro for Valentine's day with my partner. First of all, I must say, the decorations were simply gorgeous! Embroidered heart decor at the entrance, dimly lit lighting, and candles at every table... I was in awe. The staff was very friendly. Almost every server complimented my shoes and my overall Valentine's day look. The service was excellent. The food came quickly and the pace of the service flowed well. The food was simply immaculate. Everything was amazing. The caprese and garlic knots were great starters. The food presentation was beautiful. You can tell the chef is an artiste! The chicken parm had the perfect crisp. Also, I highly recommend the gnocchi pescatore. Oh my...I took one bite and I was in heaven. For the first time all evening, I was quiet. I was enjoying my food and savoring the taste. It's been a few days since I had that meal and I'm still thinking about it! Honorable mention for their wine selection. We got a bottle for the table and their cabernet sauvignon was quite lovely. Overall, I recommend this restaurant for an intimate upscale dinner. I will be back!

We just moved to the area and thought we’d give this place a try. We ordered the penne alla vodka to share (it was $20.75 so we figured we’d have enough for both of us) and an order of spaghetti with marinara for our kids (no meatballs). When we got home and opened the bag we were shocked at how small the portions were for the price, especially the kids spaghetti. They charged me $8 for the amount shown below, not even enough to feed one child. I called and complained and was told I would receive a refund, but haven’t. Our entree was only enough food for my husband. You don’t get bread and you don’t get a salad either. Save your money and go to Mazellas on Philly Pike. Better food and not a rip off.

2017 review: This place is as strange as all other restaurants in Wilmington 2020 Covid take out review: put in an order for two pizzas at 4:00 p.m. for a 6:00 p.m. pickup. It's a one in one out to pick up and pay. So I stood outside for 20 minutes, got me inside to pay at 610p and then had to sit my car and wait until after 6:30 for them to bring out my order. If the pizza is stellar, I'll update this review... Super nice people, just need a better process I'd say
