I first contacted Enzo 7 months before my wedding with a specific request for a custom lining in my tux. I have my first meeting but then after not hearing back after 2 weeks, learn my salesperson went on vacation and didn't put up an away message, so I request changing to the other salesperson. Not the greatest start, but I've got plenty of time and the price seems fair, so I'm willing to continue with Enzo.
I eventually hash out details with the second salesperson and go to the first set of measurements, where the store is eerily silent. The salesperson eventually brings up the bill which I pay, and after leaving, notice my bill didn't include a charge for the custom lining. I need to reach out to Enzo and ask them to add the extra charge onto the bill, and am already concerned that they would potentially forget about something entirely. I eventually get to the first fitting where the salesperson doesn't seem to know who I am. I tell her I'm there to try my tux and she pulls it and sends me to the changing room. I then notice that there is no custom lining and ask her where it is. She doesn't know and says she'll contact someone else to figure out why it wasn't included. I also note that there are lumps/folds on the interior thigh (see the first picture), which my salesperson attempts to pin up. Roughly 20 minutes after I've left, I get a call from her saying that they actually did have my suit with the custom lining in the shop, they just mistakenly had a replica because of something about their system. I'm immediately suspicious that had I not pointed out both the lining and the pants, this salesperson might have let me leave without what I had asked for and frankly not looking great at my wedding.
The second fitting is from 1-1:30, and when I get there exactly at 1, a tailor from the back says that my salesperson should be in shortly. At 1:05 I ask him if he can find my suit so I can start trying it on myself. He finds it and I put it on, but the pants almost look worse (see picture 2). My salesperson comes in at 1:10 without as much as an apology, and when I bring up the ruffled pants, she asks the tailor to come in who indicates he will make the necessary changes. I make the appointment for the third fitting which will unfortunately be with the first salesperson that I contacted initially.
When I come for what I hope is the last time, the salesperson is already there and she immediately points me to the changing room where my pants are. Unfortunately there is still a ruffling there. She brings out the same tailor that I saw last time, who says he was told I would be coming the next day and didnât alter the pants. I ask for the next appointment possible. Throughout this entire appointment, no one has apologized. I tell the salesperson that I am upset and -- again without apologizing -- says she can get me in touch with a client service representative. I agree.
The next fitting doesn't come out appreciably better. After 45 minutes of trouble shooting, the salesperson offers a relatively drastic fix in the butt of the pants. The fifth and sixth fitting arenât significantly different, and I decide to take the pants elsewhere because we have made minimal progress between alterations despite maximum time and effort, particularly on my end.
I've given Enzo two out of five stars. The first star is because the jacket and vest needed few adjustments and that the last salesperson I worked with and the tailor really tried to identify the issue leading to the extra fabric, albeit after multiple attempts. The second star is for the client service representative from Enzo, who took the time to listen to my experience, validated my frustration, and gave me significant compensation for the tuxedo. Ultimately, I feel I put in an incredible amount of effort into making my custom wedding tuxedo look how I wanted it to look despite objectively paying a significant amount for what I assumed would be high quality service. I only hope that they'll make changes in the future to prevent such experiences from...
Read moreMy overall experience was great. If you are looking for your first custom suit or clothing, then choose Enzo over online MTM. Youâll get a better experience, get to work in person with someone who can take precise measurements, and Enzo is extremely well priced, though they have a large selection of fabrics from premium/luxury mills as well. I appreciated that they have their prices posted online as it really helps new customers gauge the different fabric prices. Iâm a picky customer and I have some other points of constructive criticism for those that are interested, especially those debating about going bespoke.
First, Enzoâs fabrics are all natural. No synthetics, with the exception of the stretchy fabrics which have a tiny percentage of elastane. This is awesome especially considering their starting prices. But at the same time it makes the fact that they use polyester linings by default extremely disappointing as polyester almost completely defeats the purpose of having all natural fabrics. Itâs unbreathable and sticky even in fabrics that use only 30-50% of it. I would recommend that new customers get the 100% Cupro/Rayon lining. For only a $20 upgrade youâll feel the difference, especially if you wear tailored clothing every day. Go read about polyester vs rayon linings. Unfortunately, polyester linings are default and I was unaware of this, otherwise I definitely would have upgraded or removed the lining. Enzo may as well just add $20 to all the prices and get rid of polyester. But hey, some may like polyester lining and most guys probably donât care about those details anyway, so it isnât that surprising and I am still going to order more garments in the future and just remove or upgrade the lining.
Regarding Enzoâs fitting process, I am fairly well-informed in tailored clothing and have had clothing made bespoke as well, so I am reviewing from that perspective. Enzo basically has unlimited control of the fit and measurements of the garment, inch by inch. That said, it seems like a true bespoke clothier I've worked with has a much better understanding of how to construct a garment so that it drapes perfectly, especially in the smaller details. While Enzo does have unlimited control, they also tend to gravitate toward more modern fits by default, especially in the rise of the pants. Modern fits are usually acceptable for a large proportion of customers nowadays, but if you have a specific fit in mind like a more classic fit or drape cut with a higher waist, you should bring pictures or a garment that already fits you well. Again, control is unlimited, but if you want a specific fit, you should bring in your own garment or measurements which is ultimately what I had to do. Otherwise you are leaving it to the experience and preference of the specific clothier you are working with (Enzo has several locations across the US). It is difficult to compare Enzo with bespoke though, since the price disparity can be so large. Ultimately I was pretty happy with the fit of the trousers I purchased.
Finally, the construction and finishing of an Enzo garment won't look or feel as good as a handmade bespoke garment, but the finishing is certainly solid. Doesn't feel cheap, could be better, but for the prices it is certainly still worth it.
In summary Enzo is a really great place to get custom clothing whether youâve experienced bespoke or are looking for your first suit. Iâve only ordered trousers so I may update this review as I purchase...
Read moreEDITâŻ(June 2025): After posting my original review (kept below for transparency), Enzoâs senior leadership contacted me directly. They apologized, explained the production breakdown, and offered a generous solution that exceeded my expectations. The followâthrough was prompt and professional, and I ended up with a tuxedo Iâm happy with plus goodwill that shows they stand behind their work. Because of the effort to make things right, Iâm updating my rating from 2 to 4 stars. The stressful leadâup to my wedding still matters, so Iâm leaving the original story intact to help future customers understand both the challenges and the way Enzo ultimately made things right. ORIGINAL REVIEW (May 2025): My experience with Enzo Custom was the worst retail interaction Iâve had in recent memory. I ordered a custom tuxedo on March 22, 2025, for my wedding scheduled on May 10. They told me it would be ready in 3 to 4 weeks, then a few additional days for small alterations. After paying in full, the problems started almost immediately.
On three separate occasions (April 8, 15, and 22), Enzo sent me emails that my tuxedo was ready for pickup. The first two times, I drove out an hour to the showroom to discover that only the shirt had arrived, and the jacket and trousers were missing. By the second time, it was clear that no one actually knew where my suit was, and they placed a rush order on April 18th to begin making the suit and told me it would be ready by April 29.
After escalating the issue, the customer service lead acknowledged the issue and blamed IT for the false emails saying my tux was ready. Ultimately, they admitted the Tux wouldnât arrive by the new Apr 29 deadline (blaming delays from tariffs), and provided a full refund and a few small comped items (which is the reason this review isnât a 1 star). While I appreciated the gesture, the stress of scrambling to find a backup tuxedo shortly before my wedding was immense.
I ended up needing to get an off-the-rack Tux from Suit Supply that fit and looked perfectly fine after in-house tailoring, which only took 3 days total (and was a life-saver for the wedding).
Ironically, Enzoâs tux finally arrived shortly after I bought the Suit Supply tux, around May 1st. Given the hassle, the fact that I now had a tux, and the fact that the Enzo tux was already tailored to me, I proposed taking the tuxedo at a deep discount.
After more delays in communication, they came back on May 5th with an offer of just 40% off. Considering I already had 15% off at the outset, this minimal additional discount felt dismissive and was confirmation that I will not be giving Enzo any business in the future.
I genuinely wanted to like Enzo Custom, but their poor communication, internal issues, repeated false promises, and lack of urgency soured the experience of what was otherwise an amazing lead up to my wedding day. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere, especially for...
