The doctors and staff when I came in there were horrible it took them over an hour to give me any pain medicine when I dislocated my knee it took him over 3 and a half hours before they even decided to wanted to do a CTI they were extremely rude and did not respect me when I said that the pain medicine was not working and they treated me like I was some drug addicted person coming in there seeking medicine even though you can see my leg was completely messed up and I came in on an ambulance the doctor also refused to give me crutches or any type of device to help me walk afterwards they were more concerned with my mental health history then they were actually concerned with the dislocated kneecap that I came in there with they were just horribly rude and not able to deal with people with disabilities you know if you have a disability do not go to that hospital you will regret it they ended up making me leave and signing an ADA which I did not want to but they refused to let me leave until I signed one even though they were few refusing to give me help they were refusing to be nice to me and respectful and answer me according because I was scared and I didn't know what was going on and I have disabilities and I made this clear and I expressed to them that I don't understand what's going on and why they're being so mean to me and they just kept on being rude they have no respect for somebody with disabilities not to mention somebody that's in the extreme pain how you going to let somebody come in on an ambulance you know he's in pain obviously you can see it is literally on the left side of his whole leg and you're going to wait almost an hour and a half just to give him some meds like but yet you guys want to talk about my mental health history and talked about this and talk about that and all these other things that had nothing to do with the reason why I came in there why even bring it up and then when I tell him the pain medicine isn't working they tell me they're not going to give me no more because they assume that I'm drug-addicted Behavior which is bullshit just because I come in there and shorts and a tank top and I'm dirty because I fell in a bush when I dislocated my knee doesn't give them the right to to assume that I'm a drug addict that was extremely offensive and then when I asked to leave because I didn't feel comfortable with that doctor they refused and then I said okay I'm going to leave regardless and then that's when they made me sign the contract or the paper or whatever saying that I'm leaving against medical advice know I'm leaving against them treating me like crap and not treating me fairly and I express that and as soon as I did they treated me even worse and then cut attitudes with me they were unbelievably rude I'm actually finally a complaint with the state and with the American Disabilities Act because of the way I got treated having disabilities and had made that clear from the get-go and with the way they still treated me it is unbelievable I am now in my car I can't even move I got no pain meds they refused to give me crutches or even a knee brace or anything what would be the reason that the doctor wouldn't give me crutches right that doesn't make any sense why would he not give me a knee brace like he again it was because they assume that I'm a drug addict and that I'm in there like just wanting more meds and that's not true I have a tolerance because I broke my other leg two years before and I'm on medicine for that one so I have a little bit of a tolerance built up so when he gave me the medicine he gave me it didn't help me any because I already had a tolerance but now he's just going to assume I'm drug addict I even told him that he could drug test me like urine or blood or anything and then that would prove that I'm not on drugs of any kind and then they would help me and treat me respectfully but he actually refused he said he was not going to do it at all no way because he knows what he knows he didn't say that last part but he did say that he wasn't going to do it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBest doctors in the valley bar none! The problem here is the non medical staff and administration implementation of security theater. Takes away from all personal touch. Unfortunately there is no fixing this, admin will always be in the way, weāre not even allowed to make medical decisions, weāre told whatās happening to our son and if we donāt sign weāll be discharged. Nothing covid related, this is core competency issues at the highest level. If you have the opportunity to travel for treatment to the coast, we highly recommend it over these policies. Iām just sad that this is the best Boise has to offer and while it is not affecting my sons healthcare it is having incredible mental impact on the family.

Frankly, I would rather do this here. In the act of attrition I tried; seven years ago with the same grievances but alas the structure/policies remain in place. Besides, the public forum provides transparency.
Please, either complete a process or remove it: walking into a building has become entertainment for me as I will give random patientās name(s) and tell them āIām their Fatherā. There is no process, no ID required, it is but an obstacle delaying us from entrance.
Patient input: if there is a series of processes we need to go through for administrative purposes then do please make that part of the expectation up front. We were giving the option of timing but then given the directive to complete these tasks. Itās hard to look someone in their eye, answer their question and be responded to as if the option didnāt exist in the first place.
Itās not your amazing medical staffs fault for this complaint; it is the apparent lack of tools or support they are receiving from the administration.
The last example I will detail involves your system in Post Op Recovery. It dosed an adult amount of fentanyl and as a result the adult dose was delivered for a 9 year old. Your amazing nurse caught the issue, did an override but was still in possession of the adult dose. She did the math conversion to make sure she was administering a dose appropriate for 9YO and prior to administering called in two of her colleagues to check her math. Was the patient uncomfortable? Yes. But is around to complain about it because of your amazing staff! This one issue was a computer problem between 3 of your systems and would not have happened if your doctors and nurses were provided the necessary tools to effectively treat patients.
Look, I know my patience is wearing thin, and I can see it in the eyes of your medical staff that they are doing everything possible to help my son and doing everything they can to save face for their company. You have access to some of the best medical minds and people the area has to offer! What I am requesting is that they have the leadership to match.
Thatās why I also feel three out of five stars is a fair and honest assessment. A few years ago (2017) I had to travel to the coast for a heart procedure because access was months out, not days as could be offered out of state. I was lucky. So yea, please just step up to the plate with some human sense to fairly strait forward hurdles, if not for us, for your people!!!
Thanks for...
Ā Ā Ā Read more"Dr" Bryan Shiflett did nothing to treat my 6 acute compression fractures and 3 chronic compression fractures in my thoracic spine. I was assaulted today and was punched in the part of my spine that was broken causing the worst pain I have experienced in my life. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Worst pain I've experienced. Constant crying, shaking, fainting, tachycardia, high blood pressure, insomnia, depression, etc. Can barley even move, cannot shower or take care of myself correctly due to the pain. Shiflett decided that I would be better off being tortured and suffering and feeling trapped nightly from 5pm to 5am than treating my pain caused by 9 collapsed vertebrae until i have surgery in a couple weeks and helping improve my quality of life and depression, I'm prescribed Methadone 120mg only in the mornings that lasts 12 hours, thus I suffer from my torturous back pain at night, courtesy of "Dr" Shiftlett. Haven't slept once this month. His lack of action meets the definition of torture, as well as breaks the hypocritical oath he pledged to become a physician. Didn't even offer a non-narcotic option. My life has been absolutly horrible for the past month, and if he prescribed a dose of methadone for nights it would have greatly improved my quality of life immensly. I cant shower at night or take care of myself or even lay down or sleep and constantly crying. I go to a methadone clinic that would wean me off it after I heal from my surgery in 3 weeks. He also doesnt seem to understand basic pharmacology and that i take and have a tolerence to 120mg of methadone which is equivalent to 376mg of Oxycodone. I recieved 10mg with zero relief. I don't want to be on narcotics forever, but people with debilitating chronic pain shouldn't have to suffer and have a bad quality of life filled with suffering and feeling trapped. I also heard him laughing at my situation with his nurse. Their security guards also decided that they would cause me more pain by forcing me to climb into a wheelchair with no help. They also didn't find EIGHT compression fractures in a CT scan on my first visit and took a radiologist calling and telling them to actually treat me to get decent treatment. They also state on my paperwork that i have Schizophrenia, even though I have never had an offical diagnosis by a psychiatrist for this, in fact my psychiatrist denied that I have that diagnosis. Shiflett gives out medical torture and inhumanity. NEVER SEEK TREATMENT HERE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU SUFFER...
