This coffee shop. It's an experience. Due to privacy, I wasn't able to take any photos inside. (It was a VERY busy morning. Line to the door.) Ordered two white chocolate mochas, one with dairy free milk. So delicious! Just the right amount of sweetness. One no bake cookie, was told it was tasty. One molasses cookie (vegan), so perfect! The inside is such a vibe. There's the coffee shop with tables on one side, then there's the little shop and merchandise side. The items being sold might not be for everyone.. Fun to look at and appreciate none the less.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? This is a quintessential spot in the heart of Boise. The perfect go-to any day, any season, and for a variety of reasons. Mine? The open-hearted atmosphere, great tunes, huge selection of mouth-watering snacks, and some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. They know their brew! The gift shop is always delightful to walk through, and I can’t help but pick up a trinket or unique book/socks/candle/you name it! to add to my gift grab bag. Pop in! You won’t be disappointed.

Such a sweet and welcoming environment. I absolutely love the decor, local art, the little shop and the sweet treats made with care. The six herb tea with a little bit of coconut milk, honey and cinnamon is my favorite drink to indulge in. It makes me smile to see the many folks that come in to sit and chat over work or pass me by as I draw at one of their little tables. I hope to keep coming back and try new teas and get creative in this space <3

I've spent decades of my life and thousands of my dollars at Flying M. It is a shining beacon of light and beauty in a dark world. It is a place where people can feel safe and be themselves, whomever they may be. And it's also worth mentioning that the coffee is second to none in this city.

In response to the customer complaining about the discomfort of explaining what a "dom top" is to his children, I'll admit as a fellow middle-aged CIS white guy, I had to look that term up as well. And I found the definition no more offensive than the time I had to explain to my children what the Nickelback lyrics "you look so much cuter with something in your mouth" meant after we heard that blaring from one of the million bicycle bars assaulting our ears downtown. Or when I had to explain to them that the grown men carrying assault rifles downtown were there to threaten and intimidate a peaceful assembly of citizens trying to stop police brutality across our nation. Or the many times I've had to explain that the blood on the sidewalks around 6th and Main is a consequence of the deadly combination of toxic masculinity and alcohol.

We live in a complex world full of awful things. But it's also a world that's still full of beautiful things, and the community that Flying M has created for people who don't fit in anywhere else is absolutely one of the most beautiful things that the city of Boise...

Top five places in town for brewed drinks. I've been going to Flying M for the past 17 years and have enjoyed their iced tea brew. I've also made great friendships with other regulars throughout the years.

The atmosphere is very casual, I've seen people wearing suits to others wearing sweatpants. It is an eclectic group of people which makes the place what it is.

When it comes to drinks the quality is by far above other competition in town. I've taken guests here that are coffee connoisseurs and they have always given a rave review.

As far as food there is not much for protein so don't plan on ordering lunch. They do have tasty sweets that goes with your drink such as cookies, rice crispy treats, cake, etc.

The only critique I have is about the staff. It depends on the day but sometimes they are cordial and sometimes they are stand offish. As a public establishment I would suggest always being cordial toward every guest.

To sum up the post, Flying M has great drinks in a very casual atmosphere. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the perfect pit stop. Great place that has...

Flying M is a Boise staple, and it's a great place to get coffee, meet people, study, and shop for eclectic gifts. Flying M has always been at the top of my choices for a coffee shop in Boise, and when I didn't live in Boise and visited it was always one of the top places I would meet people at.

In addition, they have taken the steps to help try to mitigate the spread of SARS-CoV-2 by asking customers to wear masks, removed seating so as to space people at least 6 ft apart, and of course all their staff wear masks. They're really epitome of a good coffee shop that understands that everyone needs to do their part, so they do what they need to in spite of the fact that CDH won't enforce their own rules (there are plenty of other coffee shops in town that are flat out ignoring CDH rules).

Some of the drawbacks to note is that in pre-COVID, Flying M would get really packed and the wireless would take a hit. That just comes with being a popular place that is frequented by many.

Overall I recommend the place for anyone I know that's going downtown that wants good coffee and a...
