Their Double Deluxe Pepperoni pizza is my favorite pizza, best I've ever had. Loaded with Pepperoni and tons of cheese, if you like a good pepperoni pizza, you'll love this. In the late 80's, while I was attending Boise State University, I would order this on a regular basis. After college, moved to Seattle and just moved back after 35 yrs, and was thrilled to see Chicago Connection still here and still serving this wonderful pizza. We try to dine here each time we come into Boise. The Authentic Italian Meatballs are a great starter. And the staff are friendly and attentive. Just a great overall pizza restaurant. I don't believe you'll be disappointed.

We got garlic bread which came with a sauce more like spaghetti than marinara. We ordered the 5 Star, it is supposed to have pepperoni and sausage. It was more like a cheese and mushroom pizza. The least amount of meat I have ever had on a pizza that was supposed to have meat on it. We asked for water with a lemon, they didn't even have lemons. If you really like mozzarella cheese this would be your place. I will say the crust wasn't bad. We did not talk to the server or manager. We just decided to leave. There was just as few pepperoni under the cheese. I do appreciate the response. The workers should be talked to.

Very good Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Not quite baked like it is in Chicago, but very good nonetheless. The quality of the ingredients —specifically the mozzarella and the dough for the crust—is obvious. The marinara was good but I think it needed more spice. The individual pie made for a satisfying, inexpensive dinner. Service by a young man named Kurt was very helpful and friendly. Full disclosure: I grew up in Brooklyn so I have a taste preference for NY-style pizza, but I love the pizza from Chicago too. This is a solid choice.

Found out today that they have a lunch special even though it's Saturday. You can get a personal size pizza and a trip to the salad bar. That sounded like a great lunch so Chicago Connection was today's lunch venue.

I was instantly greeted at the door. It was petty slow so I had the pick of a lot of tables. Got my drink and order squared away and the nice server gave me a plate for the salad bar. Initially I thought the salad plate was so small but honestly, it was perfect! The salad bar had tons of goodies to put in your salad. Everything was all organized and clean. There were 4 different salad dressing options which was nice. With all the toppings available, it was hard not to get full of the salad.

My little pizza was delivered and it was so cute! It was piping hot and the cheese was all melted beautifully. There was a good amount of pineapple. I love the sweet and savory combo. There was a slight heat to the sauce. Enough to make you aware but not overwhelming. I do wish there was more of a savory note to the tomato sauce. I found it very one noted. But overall it was a good little pizza!

This joint is right around the corner from my work so I look forward to hitting this spot up for lunch. You can't beat such a good meal for...

The food and restaurant staff are great. My low review is due to management and owners allowing deliveries to be placed up until closing and requiring their drivers to sometimes have 5-10 new deliveries to make past official closing times (usually with only one driver left at time of closing to save money.) I know that it has been brought to the owners attention and they refuse to make a simple change of closing delivery orders 30 min before close so that the workers can get out closer to their scheduled times. They wouldn’t loose out on any money as they can still allow orders for pick up until closing like most restaurants - even more widespread pizza chains. I’ve worked in many restaurants and as normal as it is to keep employees until they are done with side work and job tasks, it’s unreasonable to expect them to do extra deliveries or make food for new orders after closing instead of changing the order closing time. Please fix this as it shows it’s not a great work environment and that the workers and managers input is not listened to or respected. I love the food but this doesn’t sit right with me and I think others...

I’ve ordered from here and been here dozens of times and it’s my go to place for Chicago style pizza. On my last visit the pizza (sauce, crust, and ingredient quality) and salad bar were excellent, although they have, without a doubt—and hopefully on just this visit—reduced the amount of toppings on the Chicago Combo pizza. Their personal pizzas tend to be very good as well but are extra-light on toppings. They do deliver, but I’ve never had a pizza delivered in under an hour and it invariably arrives warm at best so I have my oven preheated and ready to go. Their wings are saucy but good; they have what I consider to be the best ranch dressing in the Treasure Valley. Lunch is often busy but I’m uncertain as to their future as my party dined in on Saturday evening at six, and there were a total of two other people in the restaurant during our visit. Even then, it took so long for the pizza to arrive the waiter apologized. I’d say the pizza is worth the risk but you should be prepared for a wait and for...
