Our wedding planner masterfully orchestrated a sublime post-wedding celebration, culminating in a luxurious, private brunch yacht cruise from Boston to Nantucket, expertly executed in partnership with Classic Harbor Line Boston. This extraordinary voyage presented an unparalleled symphony of culinary excellence.
Guests indulged in an opulent array of offerings, including bottomless Bellinis and Mimosas, artisanal coffee drinks, unique tea blends, and an exquisite juice bar featuring cold-pressed options and fruit smoothies, as well as fresh fruit-infused water and flavored sparkling water. The culinary stations boasted the finest ingredients, presenting a sumptuous fresh seafood buffet replete with lobster, oysters, and crab, alongside a premium carving station featuring Wagyu beef and prime rib. Additionally, an omelette and eggs Benedict station and an artisanal cheese and charcuterie display were available. The pièce de résistance was the decadent dessert buffet, showcasing 24K gold-dusted chocolates, truffles, and cakes, complemented by artisanal French macarons crafted by our award-winning macaron chef in exquisite flavors. Interactive liquid nitrogen desserts and bite-sized éclairs, cream puffs, and tartlets further delighted guests. To complete the indulgent experience, an Italian-style gelato bar with rare flavors and a flowing chocolate river station accompanied by fresh fruits and treats were also provided.
Our private brunch cruise was elevated by the sophisticated sounds of a live jazz ensemble, expertly selected to complement the exquisite culinary offerings. The captain's timely announcements of whale sightings added a thrilling element, allowing us to witness these majestic creatures in their natural splendor. Read moreFirst, we booked through Viator. The charge showed up as originating from London, so my bank charged me an international fee. My friends said their charge showed up as USA and were not charged the international fee. After checking in inside on the night of our cruise, the dock area was very confusing as signage was not adequate for those not at the very front of the line. Once on the Northern Lights, we sat upstairs behind the wall (semi enclosed). The operator who was directing and sharing facts about places we were passing could not be heard. I went to the bartenders twice asking them to turn it up. They said they would, but it never got better, so we couldn't enjoy that aspect of the cruise. We asked about the charcuterie board and what type of meats would be included. We were told bologna. We only got the cheese tray since we didn't want bologna. Later we saw a neighboring table got the charcuterie and cheese board. The meat was thinly sliced, typical charcuterie meats. We would've gotten that had we known because that's what we wanted originally. It was cheaper if you ordered both charcuterie and cheese at the same time. The menu had no mention of fresh fruits being on any of the trays and the neighboring table definitely had fresh fruit. The cheese tray was not very good at all. The rosemary cheese had way too much rosemary on it. The "nuts" listed in the description were walnuts. It just made it sound like it would be a variety when it wasn't. The amounts of cheese were not able to be enjoyed by our group as there were only 3 small cubes of each kind. We did enjoy the views, the drinks, and being together on the boat, as it was a very peaceful evening. Stopping by the USS Constitution at sunset was nice. The crew was very nice. It seemed like a lot of people boarded, but it wasn't crowded. We were just disappointed with all of the above mentioned things, so it tarnished...
Read moreI booked the Classic Harbor Line Oyster Sail for my 25th Birthday and brought my partner along with me. The actual sailing was very nice. I was just very put off from the start when one of the crew members was weirdly hitting on my partner. He started the conversation by asking my partner about tattoos, I cheerfully thought I would chime in since I am covered with multiple sleeves on my arms and legs.. to which his response was “don’t get excited I wasn’t talking to you.” Um.. insanely rude?? He continued to act like I didn’t exist, keeping his attention on my partner and complimenting their sweatshirt (which was mine.. That I let them wear since they were cold) and as soon as I pointed out it was mine he proceeded to get annoyed and backed off.. did not come up to us for the rest of the time except to close us out..
It also seemed like they were trying to be very conservative with their oysters and shrimp as you had to get up to get towards the seafood bar and they would try and talk you down from whatever number you asked for.. my partner doesn't do oysters so I asked for 4 oysters and 4 shrimp so we could share one plate and they tried to talk me down to 2 and 2… this happened multiple times as I went up for more and was just frustrating because I had to make multiple trips just to be satisfied..
Overall the oyster cruise is a really good idea.. execution not so much.. I work in restaurants and the hospitality was just not there.. disappointing start to my...
