I love coming to Le Visage! Many years ago I was tanning and using heavy foundation only to cover up for acne, blackheads, blemishes and other challenges I was experiencing at the time. I started having facials with Anne-Cecile at Le Visage and then shortly thereafter I also started doing chemical peels, which changed my life. The peels are curated for my skin type and they are targeting different areas each time. They cleared my skin, and with every peel the results were getting better and better, so much so that I no longer needed to use foundation at all. I’ll be 40 soon and I am experiencing reverse aging. I recommend Le Visage to all of my friends. Thank you for making me proud of my skin.

I went to the Broad St location.

Pros: Good online booking system. Staff seems kind and professional.

Cons:

This facial made my acne much worse, and not in a purging way - in an inflamed and sore way that I am still trying to repair after over a month. I didn't want to leave the house.

Aesthetician knowledge. Mine didn't always know what active ingredients were in the products. They also suggested that my acne was bacterial when it was later confirmed to be fungal. (Some bacterial-focused treatments for acne can make fungal infections that present as acne vulgaris - like malassezia fungal overgrowth- worse). I believe that is what happened to me. I'd prefer that LVS aestheticians were 100% honest about what they do and don't know.

They may be experienced, but please remember: they are not doctors.

Product pushing. Not everyone wants Rhonda Allison (in fact, I would venture to say that most people don't, because it isn't sold in any major stores). There are many products at lower price points with excellent formulations for sensitive skin. Leave it up to clients to ask about a product if they're interested. It's uncomfortable to feel pressured to buy products and it borders on exploitative when you know clients are already in a vulnerable emotional state because of their skin.

This was just my experience. But if you have acne and your breakouts are minor, consider saving yourself $150-200 and trying a gentle chemical exfoliant before you book this appointment. If you go, I hope you have a better experience than me.

** I'm putting two stars because Google filtered out my review when I made...

Worst customer service. Unprofessional staff. After purchasing a gift card for my boyfriend in the amount of $250.00 I was not refunded after finding out the only massage therapist was a male. Everyone has preferences and having one option for a massage is just something I have never heard of. But that's not the real problem here.. after first speaking with Ellie in the office, I asked to speak with the owner of the establishment as a business owner myself. I was then given a call back by a man named Paul who actually said to me "I won't let the owner waste her time speaking with you". As a paying customer who has never even stepped foot in the establishment. He was extremely rude and told me that in his 30 years of profession he had never heard of a man not feeling comfortable with another man giving him a massage. In today's society we have to be accepting of peoples comfort and needs. This goes against our rights. He then said he had looked my business up and saw my policies on gift cards which was not only weird. It was a lie. Instead they wanted to offer $250 of facial products? What? No get another female massage therapist or money back. Altogether all of this could have been avoided had the owner of the establishment given me the respect to call me back as a paying customer to HER business. So due to the severe lack of professionalism I would never suggest this place. I spent a lot of money on a place I had never even been to. It was downright the worst customer service I have ever...

The staff at Le Visage have been taking care of my skin and body for years and I’ve never been more pleased! They are professional and clean and actually listen to your needs! Among the many times I’ve visited the spa, I saw Dennis after a car accident a few years ago, which left me with terrible whiplash and a horrible headache for days. As soon as I got off the table after my 80 min massage, I had relief beyond what I thought was possible after just one treatment! Dennis is magic! Anne Cecile and Beatrice have both given me facials and peels and improved my skin tenfold! I’m in my late 30’s and most people think I look much younger... I credit the ladies at Le Visage for that. They’re also SO helpful in helping pick out a personalized skin care regimen for you! I’ve been using (and highly recommend) the Rhonda Allison products for years and seen a dramatic improvement in my skin. I live in RI now but still make sure to come to Boston for appts and to purchase my RA products! Lastly, even before Covid, the spa was spotless and clean! I haven’t been able to make it back up for an appt since they reopened, but I’m positive they are even more diligent about cleanliness than before (and I didn’t think a spa could be any cleaner!). I can’t recommend this spa and all the staff...
