5-10-24 Came to see my hair stylist and she’s was very upset of how thin my hair is and can’t believe how they treated me I regret going here

Today is my birthday I want to thank Mr Kent and Courtney for making feel so insecure and not want to do absolutely nothing I want to cry 😢 Thank you guys !!!!!!!!! I don’t know if you guys don’t believe in god but GOD DONT LIKE UGLY

This so unfair !! Just typing this out is making me upset. How can I start ? I been dying my hair for years with the same person at Station2Salon , but I decided to find a salon closer to home . I was googling different hair salon and came across Kent Newton Salon. Just like a lot of us we look at the review before anything . I did and saw 4.8 star so I felt good about this salon and went for it. This was the worst decision I have ever made. I called and told the receptionist what I wanted she assure me that Courtney will be the perfect person . I ask for Balayage hair color. I ended up going to my appointment Courtney was very welcome I had no issues . Courtney look at my hair and I showed her the picture of what I wanted and she assured me she can give me the same look. I trusted her . By the end of my visit I thought I was good and thought this was my next new salon. Now this is where I just want to cry . I know when you dye your hair there can be some damaged but as weeks and months pass my hair started falling, breaking and thinning . At first I try not freak out but my family friends and even my personally hair style kept asking what happened to your hair . That's when I knew something wasn't right. Courtney had use excessively bleach that had cause my hair to break and look dull brittle . OMG!!!!! MY HAIR I cried so much . Imagine having your hair full and now you looking like your going bold .This was the worst thing that happened to me and I was hurt and bothered. That brought my self esteem very low. I decided to call the salon and let them know . The owner was away In PR but the receptionist did apologize and did tell me Courtney did use excessively bleach on my hair . Finally the owner was back and had me come to the salon . This Kent guy was the most unprofessional business guy I have ever met. He didn't even apologize and wanted to say because I refuse to get my hair cut was the reason this happened!!!! WOW trying to cover his ASSS . I left there very UPSET !! Department of cosmetology is my first step .I didn't just give them my money and now I'm left with a little bit of hair !!! Kent didn't care maybe because am not WHITE!!! But you guys tell me how am supposed to feel ever time I look at my hair in the mirror I cry and this been getting me depressed .I MISS MY HAIR . Now am have to spend so much money to help my hair ever and am so scared if my hair never goes back to how it was . WOW THIS IS CRAZY !!!!!! SOMETHING NEED TO BE DONE AND WILL BE DONE !! Edited from 1 star to 4. Edited to add: The salon reached out and offered a redo service at no charge. Although slightly awkward, I agreed to come back in and sincerely appreciated the gesture. Courtney, the new stylist I was booked with, was extremely nice and took her time. After she flat ironed my hair to assess the situation, I saw my original haircut was far worse than I initially realized. It was honestly so disheartening because I don’t know how a professional stylist could have done such an awful job without it being intentional.

After 45 minutes of cutting, Courtney let me know she’d done the best she could without having to give me bangs and cut a significant amount of length off. It had taken a lot of work to make it presentable. Considering the original state, she did a fantastic job and I’m really happy with how it turned out. I also appreciate the salon reaching out to correct the work of the original stylist. While I won’t be a repeat client, I’d happily recommend Courtney to anyone asking.

Disappointed after seeing all the glowing reviews. My overall experience at the salon was fine (although my appointment from start to finish, including wash, cut and dry was only 30 minutes…), but this cut does not look even remotely like a professional did it. I’ve been going to Amanda at Kent Newton for over three years now and she never misses! My hair has never been longer, softer, or shiner in my life. Amanda does my cuts, blow dries, and treatments. One of favorite things about her is that she always respect the trim I’m looking for especially because I want to keep my length. I’ve been to too many places that cut more than I ask for, not here! She takes her time washing (including a nice scalp massage), blow drying, and styling. I really appreciate how she doesn’t rush through any step of the process like other stylists that want you in and out and you feel like your hair isn’t washed properly. I always leave feeling so good about my hair. Honestly, I know I could go to her and have her do my hair and leave without me checking the mirror once. That’s how much I trust her! She gives honest opinions, takes my preferences seriously, and knows how to work with wavy hair which is a huge plus!
