Monica and Pov both have done my hair. These ladies are extraordinary in spirit and in truth. If I would give my business, e.g., drybar, supercuts,Adela Hair Salon , Viselli, or Townsend Hair , I would end up being at the brink of chronic depression Most hairstylists I've experienced are dull in nature, purely driven by mediocre techniques/services, and overall, don't have a heart for the plebian. When I walked in and proceeded out , I felt like Queen Ester on her throne. My hair was soft, supple, and lux. This calls for a celebration for world changers that are not simply looking at texture p.s. loathe when stylists utter "textured hair" and "ethnic hair" , why does that matter? Sorry to disappoint the haters, but your hair type, race, and features have nothing to do with your ethnicity. Growing up, because I had curly hair with a warm beige complexion( needless to say im half european) , most people would say that came from African ancestry, although what about European, Caucasians or Euro centric groups with very curly hair? Who would question it ? At the end of all this madness, why can we the people model prime examples of acceptance for all hair types despite the stigma... stereotypes....racial connotations...misinformation... Please stop asking curly girls and man if they have a perm , we are not living in the 70's or 80's.
Please for the love of God stay away from Viselli, customer service wise was sub-par, my stylist was unfamiliar with curly hair, complained my hair was knotty, used wrong products, not approachable, avoided eye contact, seemed interested in others stylists colloquies, and had the audacity to ask for a review. For laughs and giggles, my hair was limping the moment I stepped out of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRosanna, the owner of the Luxor Hair Studio, is fabulous! I personally have seen her work at her previous location and had her both cut and color my hair. Everything Rosanna does is absolutely beautiful. I have had a lot of disappointing hair salon experiences that left me walking away bummed and frustrated by the amount of money spent on something that didn't come out the way I expected or asked it to. Rosanna is someone I would go to for the rest of my life if I could and if I hadn't moved back to the West Coast, I would still be at her studio. She is so kind, professional, personable, knowledgeable, expert in her field and goes above and beyond to give her clients the best experience and hair. I've seen other artists ask her for assistance with clients many times. She takes the time to listen, discuss the plan and really understand the style you're going for and everything I have ever seen her do is gorgeous. She even fixed my hair after another stylist messed it up and did it exactly like I asked her to, blending it more beautifully than any stylist I've gone to before. Now that I've moved, Rosanna even helped me figure out what to ask for at my new place and taught me how to curl and style my crimpy hair.
If you're looking for an honest, skilled, lovely and professional hair stylist who loves what she does and loves making hair beautiful, go to Rosanna. You will be so glad that you did! Also, the product they use here, Kerastase, is amazing and I buy it to this day.
Thank you for...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePov is one of the best hair stylists Iāve had in Boston, and Iāve tried many! Finding someone who can work with textured hair and is really good at it is hard to do so I was so lucky to find her! Sheās made me more comfortable with my hair, is always updating me on the latest skills sheās learned and makes my hair dreams come true. Whether itās a simple cut or experimenting with color, itās clear that Pov has a lot of experience with a variety of different techniques and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist in the Boston area. Her prices are very fair for the quality of work provided and we always have a good chat. Super down to earth and fun, and always willing to try...
