I first learnt about this place and their product from a sweet friend of mine with a sweet gift. She gave us a box full of artisan chocolates! So, while I was in Boston, I went to check their store and their chocolates. The inside was filled with chocolates everywhere. I was familiar with their truffles, but they had so much more than that. They had chocolate bars, chocolate covered nuts and fruits, candies, fudge, etc., etc… Another thing they have that I really love is their handmade keepsake gift boxes. They are more on the vintage design, which I think are just awesome! They have them for every occasion; mom, dad, sister, brother, Boston images, birthday, wedding, graduation… I was there to get some beautiful truffles for my husband, so I went to see the option. And my goodness, they had so many different kinds of truffles! I picked a cute gift box that holds 12 truffles, which cost extra on top of truffles. It was so hard choosing just 12 truffles, and, it was like a puzzle. They have to fit inside the box, so you can’t choose all big sized one either. Luckily for me, the staff who helped me was very skilled and experienced. She helped me to get everything in there just right! It was a sweet delight, the lady who helped me was really nice, it was fun to see she was also excited to see my choices of truffles. And yes, they are all super delicious! If you are in the area and need a gift for someone special, stop by and get some beautiful and tasty truffles!

Delicious artisan chocolates. Bought some and shipped some to share this delicacy. And then visited again for more. This store also has varieties of chocolate bars from across the world. I also bought a Mexican hot chocolate bar made by Seattle chocolate company. It definitely had a kick of cayenne pepper. The store also sell gelato and ice in limited flavors. Not a large selection of ice cream flavors but I have to try it next time. They do serve their famous hot chocolate that I wish to try in winter. Staff was polite and assured me the chocolates shipped will be kept cold during shipping to avoid melting in this sweltering summer. If you like to gift chocolates, they have many gift options that fits many occasion and is personalizable. I definitely recommend this place. So many flavors to try, you will definitely love some.

This is a pretty cool little shop that’s packed with chocolates, knickknacks and more. There are so many things to browse through and observe. Thumbs for all the offerings. As for the chocolates, they’re hit or miss. I ordered the fig and balsamic truffle and was really disappointed. I don’t know how to tell how old the chocolates are, but this was hard and wasn’t tasty. The toffee on the other hand was great. The caramel chocolate was really good. As for the customer service it really lacked. The staff wasn’t nice or friendly and gave us a very transactional experience. I was really disappointed they didn’t smile or offer any chit chat. Overall a nice store with some really cool gift ideas and items, but the chocolate lacked the amazing fresh taste and a thumbs down for the friendliness.

Online Pickup Cheaper Than In-Store Pricing

After browsing their website I went to the store to buy some of their chocolates but I was charged $1 more per chocolate than what was priced on their website. A total of $50 for 12 pieces instead of $38 for the exact same selection I had priced online.

I asked the staff, and they said the higher price was because the chocolates I selected were “seasonal”. But that doesn’t make sense as the website does not apply any "seasonal selection" surcharges. It seems like they simply move the most popular or in-demand chocolates to the top shelf on any given moment and add a surcharge. I even tested it by recreating the same cart online for pickup, and sure enough, it was $12 cheaper.

The selection in-store was identical to what’s online, so I honestly felt misled. If seasonal pricing surcharges are applied only for chocolates bought at the store, it should be clearly stated on the website. For a premium chocolatier, this kind of pricing practice feels distasteful and...
