I have visited the NF three times: initially, on Newbury St and twice [in the last two weeks] in Beacon Hill. As fun as it is to peruse the variety, do not expect fun cheerful staff. My visit this week was.....less than ideal. The manager (I assume) was ensuring all displays were maintained, but it almost felt like it was to avoid speaking to customers. Is it challenging to say Hello or Welcome whilst dusting or shifting product? Between him and the cashier, this is not where Happiness resides. There was also last week, where an employee handed out samples...except to me. I try to give the benefit of the doubt& dismissed these things UNTIL I SAW I WAS OVERCHARGED. Reviewing my text receipt, I was charged for $30/lb for two varieties whose labels read $15/lb in-store and online. Update: Be aware...After speaking with the store, the prices are listed as HALF pounds....so the price that is displayed is per half pound, which seems like a sneaky way to commerce but this determines that will be the last time I purchase from this business. In this economy, clarity is necessary and they do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stumbled upon The Nuts Factory on Charles Street while exploring Beacon Hill, and Iām so glad I did! I had always heard about this place but never realized it was right there. The first thing that caught my eye at the entrance was the Dubai chocolate strawberries, so of course, I had to try one.
At $18 and change, itās definitely a splurge, but for my first time trying it, I can say it lived up to the hype. The strawberries were incredibly fresh, perfectly sweet, and had an amazing crunch. I went with the milk chocolate option, which paired beautifully with the pistachio cream and Kanafehāthe texture and flavor combination was unreal! While I wouldnāt get it all the time, itās one of those special treats that I wouldnāt mind indulging in whenever I come across it.
If youāre in the area, definitely stop by and treat yourselfāyou...

At nearly $20 a cup, I was initially hesitant, but considering the chocolate bars run even higher, I went with the matcha version. A scoop of melted matcha chocolate draped over plump strawberries, finished with a sprinkle of kataifi. It was shockingly good. The berries were some of the sweetest and juiciest Iāve had in the U.S., and paired with the nutty matcha chocolate, it came across like an elevated strawberry-matcha cake in cup form.
The shop itself is also worth a browse. Shelves lined with chocolates, dried fruits, and Turkish pastries like baklava. My friend grabbed a random assortment of chocolates and ended up loving...
