I just wanted to thank Hampshire House for the absolutely perfect event Sunday. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Special thanks to Alyssa, who managed the event flawlessly, anticipating all of our requests and meeting them promptly. Wanjira did an outstanding job as bartender and also pitched in on a variety of other tasks including temporarily volunteering as videographer and photographer. The food was delicious and artfully presented, thanks to Rodrigo, Elayana, Alejandra, and the culinary team. And Gail, the receptionist on the front desk in the morning, was lovely and made sure everyone got to where they needed to be. Michele, the Hampshire House event planner, was the linchpin that held everything together. When we were evaluating venues, she was so friendly and helpful I had a good feeling that even someone with no event planning experience (me!) would be in good hands with her. That was true. From redoing the floor plan, as our numbers kept shifting, to the recommendations and guidance on the vendors, she handled everything flawlessly, and all within our budget. Thanks for recommending the blueberry pancake appetizer. Everyone loved them! Special kudos to her for anticipating the road race that shut the streets down. Michele providing us with instructions to deal with that and updated them as she learned more. We were staying at a very nice hotel nearby and they were not aware of the road race, and once they became aware of it, they were scrambling to figure out how to help their customers. It was a problem. But not at the Hampshire House. It's that kind of attention to detail that sets them apart. I really appreciate it. Hampshire House, thank goodness, has an approved list of vendors. We went with Winston Flowers (Tara) and Robert on the grand piano, and they both executed perfectly as well. After all the hustle and bustle of the early morning (during which all went well, thanks to Tara, Alyssa, Wanjira, and the HH team), I was waiting, heart in my throat, for the guest of honor to arrive. She arrived and walked up the spiral staircase, her eyes alight, and into the cheering throng of friends and family. There were hugs all around and then she walked into the main room, absolutely delighted with the absolute perfection of it all. Right on cue, Robert, on the grand piano, started playing "Here Comes The Sun." It's a moment that will stay with us forever. The food was just so delicious! We were thrilled to finally try chef Markus Ripperger's world famous Maple Roasted Almond and Swiss Chocolate Soup. And thanks for the special plate that accommodated my dietary restriction. We left with bags of treats and goodies, from the lobster rolls on brioche buns to the astounding array of cakes and cookies. We had a pajama party later and enjoyed the leftovers there, all of us going over every detail of a most wonderful day that is now a perfect memory for us. The video that Wanjira took (she saw me taking pictures and offered to take over for a bit, urging me to sit down and enjoy everything) captured the lovely energy of the event perfectly. If you are thinking of hosting an event in Boston, large or small, I can wholeheartedly recommend Michele and the Hampshire House team!

We feel beyond lucky to have chosen Hampshire House to celebrate the most important day of our lives. From the very first photo I saw of the venue, I instantly fell in love.I could immediately envision everyone we love gathered in that warm, elegant space, celebrating together in a way that felt both intimate and timeless. It perfectly captured the spirit of what we dreamed for our wedding: a meaningful gathering with family, friends, and mentors. From the beginning of our planning journey, Victoria was truly exceptional. Her responsiveness was lightning-fast (even when I packed a dozen questions into a single email!), and she was consistently calm, cheerful, and organized through the often chaotic planning process. I’ll never forget how welcomed we felt when we met her in person for the first time at our tasting. Her kindness, professionalism, and flexibility gave me instant peace of mind that everything on the big day would be taken care of—and it was, and more. Victoria went above and beyond to accommodate every one of our needs, no matter how small, and her quiet support meant everything when other parts of the planning felt unpredictable. She took detailed notes, followed through on every ask, and always made me feel like our wedding truly mattered to her. On the wedding day itself, Victoria, Lindsay, and Elissa (apologies if I spelled any names wrong!) were absolute stars. These three incredible women were everywhere—effortlessly managing logistics, adjusting details on the fly, and doing it all with radiant smiles. They handled so many things I could see—setting up our escort card table to look pristine, subtly hiding visual clutter to keep the space beautiful, helping adjust the tone of the pianist’s music to match the mood, even helping us with tech like setting up my phone for the playlist—and I’m sure there were dozens more things they did that we didn’t even notice. That’s the thing about the team at Hampshire House: they care as deeply and attentively as we did. They treated our wedding as something truly meaningful, not just another event on the calendar. Every detail was cared for, not just the obvious ones, but even the ones we didn’t know to think about. Hampshire House made us feel so seen, so supported, and so celebrated. We will remember their kindness, effort, and magic forever:)

We had the most magical day of our lives getting married at the Hampshire House in early May this year. Right from the get go, Hampshire House checked all our boxes when it came to what we were looking for in a wedding venue. It has that old New England charm, is located right next to the beautiful Public Gardens and is the perfect size for an intimate, small to medium sized wedding (we had 60-70 guests in attendance). Most of all, the food here is beyond exceptional and some of the best we’ve had. We are major foodies, and having food that was well-plated, generously portioned, and above all delicious and memorable was a high priority item for us. We were lucky enough to be able to work with Sydney Turnbull and the Hampshire house team. Sydney is the most kind, professional, and detail-oriented catering sales manager and event coordinator and thanks to her, all our venue planning with Hampshire House was truly smooth sailing and stress-free. Sydney constantly kept us in the loop with next steps in our planning timeline, offering thoughtful recommendations and suggestions for our wedding (such as floral placements during our ceremony, order and timing of toasts/speeches, seating arrangements, the list goes on!) She kept in contact with all our vendors, always promptly responded to our many emails, walked us through all the steps during our ceremony rehearsal —somehow making it seem much less daunting, and on our big day Sydney seemed to always be one step ahead, preparing and leading us through every portion of our wedding timeline in such a seamless way. Lastly, since our wedding ended late into the evening, Hampshire House thoughtfully held on to and organized all our florals, and various wedding signage and other items so that we were able to return and pick it up at the venue on a following day. This made it so we didn’t have to worry about anything at all night of and could end our wedding day with the peace of mind that everything was taken care of. Truly, we cannot recommend Sydney and the Hampshire House enough and if we were to do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing!
