I had such a great experience making candles with my friends at Sky Candle! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Unfortunately I forgot her name but the sweet person who taught the class as incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the craft, making the candle-making workshop not just educational but truly enjoyable.

The class was well-organized, with clear instructions and plenty of hands-on guidance. They provided high-quality materials and a variety of scents to choose from, allowing for a personalized touch to each candle. I appreciated the step-by-step approach, which made it easy to follow along, whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience.

The best part was the creativity and freedom we had in designing our own candles. It was so much fun experimenting with different fragrances and colors. Plus, the candles turned out beautifully—much better than I expected for a first try! If you’re looking for a unique and delightful experience, I can’t recommend this candle shop enough. Not only is the shop super cute with locally made candles, gifts and other treats, but the Candle Bar was an interactive experience lead by one of the team members who walked us through the whole process. After picking out which vessel you'd like to fill (I went with the large, because I'm a size queen), it's time to start sniffing! I could have spent hours testing each and every scent, especially the seasonal offerings which change throughout the year. Once you've narrowed down the tops few scents you are drawn to, it's time to test them out. The team member assisting us was extremely knowledgable in which notes would pair best, offering gently guidance to a successful combination. From there, its time to mix the scents, and pour the wax. The process took about an hour, and you can leave your candle to set, and pick it up the next day, otherwise the team will deliver it to you within the following days for a small...

The candle making experience was really disappointing and what felt like a rip off - the experience felt rushed, what was supposed to be an hour, it was over in about 20 - 25 minutes, and we took our time smelling all the different scents. Ended up paying about 140 bucks for two candle you can easily get at home goods for under 10 bucks each. If you are willing to spend that to make two candles in under 30 minutes then give a try, otherwise i would not recommend this experience as all the materials can be home bought at a much much cheaper price. Other candle making bars offer a drinks and apps for the cost, like pizza and snacks - this experience didn’t even offer a water, and again just felt rushed and non entertaining, just kind of do it and done. If you aren’t going to offer any sort entertainment for a good vibe other than do this than do that at least offer BYOB.
