We had Skylight Jewelers recommended by a local Facebook group when we asked around about a local jeweler for an engagement ring, and we are thrilled with how everything went.

My fiancé proposed without a long-term ring, since I wasn’t sure exactly what style I wanted. We gathered a few pictures for inspiration and met with Spencer at Skylight Jewelers to create a custom design. We iterated a bit with him on the CAD model before finalizing everything and having it cast.

We had Spencer purchase a lab diamond for the gemstone, and he helped us through the process on deciding between natural vs lab and the criteria for stone quality (which neither I nor my fiancé were familiar with). Everything turned out better than we could have hoped! My fiancé and I still think the ring is so pretty and is exactly what I wanted. Spencer and Eugene also worked with us on a couple follow up visits to resize the engagement ring so that it fit just right.

As our wedding date got closer, we went back for wedding bands and the process was just as easy. We chose very plain band styles that Spencer cast in the correct size for both of us.

I worked with Spencer over the phone to design an engagement ring for my wife. It's a very daunting task to choose an engagement ring, especially over the phone and in a different state. Spencer's customer service was impeccable. He was accommodating and showed a passion for designing the best ring for my wife by emailing photos throughout the process and by ensuring me that he was available if any alterations were needed. My wife loved the ring so much that she decided to work with Spencer on a matching wedding band. Both rings were custom made and absolutely unique. Folks from all over are often complimenting her on her beautiful rings. I chose a white gold wave style ring with a blue sapphire and a matching style wedding band with studded diamonds. Recently we found ourselves in Boston and decided to visit Spencer in his awesomely located shop near King's Church. As soon as he saw her ring he remembered working with with us. My opal engagement ring is my fiancé's great grandmothers and needed some repair when it was given to me. We had gone to a different jeweller and he completely botched the job and not even a year later one of the opals fell out on a trip. We thought we had done our home work on finding someone who could work with opals, but this time we looked a bit harder. On our next trip to Boston we stopped at Skylight and I just got my ring back yesterday (two week turn around). I couldn't be more happy! Not only did he find an opal to replace the missing one the day we were there, but the ring has never looked better. The band looks amazing. After having been worn for almost a century he got most of the details to still shine through. The opal settings which looked incredibly messy after the first guy now look clean and as if they belong on the ring. If I ever need to have it fixed again, I'm just going to send it straight to this guy.
