My family of three visited Carly's on the evening of 7/15. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess and were promptly seated. We are each avid noodle lovers and all decided on the noodle soup as noodle soup and noodles were the majority of a full page on the menu. We had the noodle soup (sweet potato noodles with each of our favorite meat and broth) and we ordered an appetizer of fruit and also the mediterranean veggies. The food presentation was neat (served on individual trays left at each place setting), but the serving sizes (especially noodle quantity) were small. The meat was ok, but the chicken broth lacked any love (one other option of mushroom base available). Raw shredded carrots, half a tea egg, as well as other greens ornamented the top of each bowl; corn, noodles on the bottom. The mediterranean vegetable appetizer consisted of mushrooms and zucchini melded into one homogenous color and texture (soggy) - raw small-cubed cucumber garnished the top. Fruit plate - quaint and cute with bananas, cubed apples, blueberry and a cherry. I can see why this can be called healthy cuisine, because I am sure it was, but I can say the cooking techniques and flavors are not special or unique. I do not want to knock this restaurant because I realize what they are trying to do, but I must be fair with my review. Each in my group has had considerable Asian and ethnic cuisines as well as American. This was not authentic, good as a fusion, nor was it a hit in flavor, ingredients or cooking style. I see a current overall rating of 4.8 with five hundred-fifty or so reviews, but I am led to believe this rating is inaccurate based upon my experience (although there are several other appetizers and entrees (sandwiches) we did not experience. I can't give it a 5.0 - I can't give it a 4.0. I do wish the restaurant and owner success...
Read moreReally enjoyed this place, hope to go back while I'm here on holiday. I loved the hand-pulled noodles, they had great bite/chew. I got the stir fry but want to go back to try the noodle bowl with a tea egg. When we asked for hot sauce the chef even came out directly and offered 2 different options. The woman who took our order was so simultaneously efficient and considerate it was incredibly impressive - I ordered a passionfruit refresher from their large juice and boba drink menu and she double checked that I was okay ordering an energy drink at night. They really care about their customers! We were the only party at the time, (not remotely surprising since it was on the later end of a Monday night), and usually when there are no other customers in a restaurant I feel awkward, but Carly's has such a relaxed and friendly vibe and the family running it is so nice that we didn't feel awkward at all. Everybody we interacted with was welcoming and seemed passionate about the restaurant and food, which is rare and wonderful and sort of the whole point of eating out at a restaurant, isn't it? If I just want quick food I don't have to make myself I can go through a fast food drive-thru or buy a frozen dinner or pre-made meal in the grocery store. But when I take the time to find a restaurant I hope it will be an experience and that I'll get to enjoy a real meal, something somebody created with purpose and love for the ingredients. Carly's provided that, AND they are a locally-owned family-run small business which is like being a restaurant unicorn...
Read moreCarly's Healthy Cuisine is an Asian style restaurant atop an Ozark slope just off of Main St in the historic downtown of Branson, Missouri. If you're near Branson Landing, you're only a few blocks away, and I recommend you visit this spot. It's family owned, and its name likeness, Carly, will probably greet you as you're seated.
The dining area is clean and comfortable. However, I must say that the booths are smaller than some other booths. They seat four comfortably.
Y'all already know that I checked out the restroom 😆 and it was clean with plenty of soap and paper towels. It was ventilated well and operates from the light swith. The lighting could be a little brighter, but not really an issue, but my preference.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. They have menus available, or if you're like me, you've already pulled it up on your electronic device.
Our order included Stir Fry Noodles with mushrooms and a shredded chicken leg with an Iced Lemonade. Also, the Fish Sandwich with homemade potato chips and a side salad with vinegarette dressing and a Honey Papaya Iced Tea. The fish sandwich was a huge piece of Cod fried light and flakey with a homemade tarter sauce and a spicy house sauce. The bun was light and fluffy with a slight crisp 😋
I ordered a Taro Boba Smoothie with Passion Fruit sweetener to-go and enjoyed it while cruising the...
