I am so dissapointed in this fast food mexican place. I have waited 6 days for the general manager to call me back to discuss my experience and they just do not care, so I am going to write a review. Last Week on Friday evening, my husband and I went to eat there. Daniel the employee was drenched in sweat, I mean drenched, his shirt was completely soaked with sweat, you could of rung out a cup of sweat from his shirt. He proceeded to serve us up a couple of protein bowls. He kept wipeing more sweat off his forehead with his gloves using his shirt to wipe the sweat off. His gloves were completely touching his drenched sweaty wet shirt and then he uses his gloves to dip in the lettuce and cilantro and crunchies. I could not take it anymore and spoke up. I told him what he had done wrong. I have 25 years in food service and I have yet to ever see ,such disgusting food handling in my life. I said, I cannot eat this food, do they not teach you proper food handling and he said no, they do not teach us. I explained kindly what he had done wrong. I said dont you have a food handling certificate and he walked away. another young man who just started his shift offered to help us, and they said we did not have to pay. But this the new guy prepared us new bowls and by the time he was almost done, I said please change the lettuce and cilantro and crunchies, he changed the lettuce, that was it. We did not eat those bowls either. The whole food set up needed to be changed and disinfected and restocked, Daniel was sweating all over the food and touching everything. I was shocked that no one there who understood how to handle food properly. I have eaten there during the day and not ever seen this situation before. I am completly shocked and will not eat there again. No phone call back from management and so I forced to write this review. I was going to try and keep it between the manager and I but they are so poorly managed there they do not know how...
Read moreIn these tough times I really hate to leave a negative review, but I think the owner(s) need to know a patron's experience. My wife and I have enjoyed Qdoba restaurants all across the Midwest so I am basing my displeasure on some experience. Today I went to the Branson Qdoba restaurant and while waiting at the counter was initially ignored by one young who was doing nothing while another young man was busy restocking a cooler behind the counter. The store was empty and after the young man doing nothing walked out and stood on the back patio a few moments, he re-entered the store and walked behind the counter, getting his rubber gloves he asked me what I wanted. I asked for two "Protein Bowls" to go. I then asked for "pinto" beans instead of "black" beans. He immediately stopped and said I should order a "bowl your way" because "he said" they can't substitute anything. I said my wife and I have made the same order here and at other Qdoba stores with no problems. The young man said that didn't matter, I can't substitute black beans for pinto beans. I was stunned as I didn't ask for any other substitutions. I looked at the young man and said, "so you'd rather loose a sale of two meals rather than "substitute" a spoonful of black beans for spoonful of pinto beans. To which he simply shrugged his shoulders and removed his gloves. I left the store wondering about the cost difference between black beans and pinto beans. I live in Branson and even though my wife and I have enjoyed food from this store in the past, we will never patronize it again, as well as sharing this experience with...
Read moreMy husband had never been to a Qdoba, so I suggested we go for supper as he loves Mexican food. I had described it as a Subway type place for Mexican food. I told him you choose your tortilla and pick what you want in it, etc. We walked into a mostly empty restaurant. There were two people inside and four on the outside patio. We walked to the counter, and I mentioned to the person waiting on us that my husband had never eaten at Qdoba before. The server says, "Well, I always suggest our 'bowls' to anyone who has never eaten here before." I honestly don't know why you would suggest a bowl as opposed to a wrap, unless they were going to have to get more out or they didn't want to roll/wrap them, but he didn't get a wrap because he didn't know to ask. His bowl was disappointing, to say the least. We chose to sit on the patio near the water (which was the reason you received 4 stars for atmosphere). It was just as well as I don't think there were any clean tables inside. It was a totally disappointing visit! We will not be back to the...
