Purple - Christiana Mall — Local services in Brookside

After much research and personal recommendation, I decided the Purple mattress was the brand for me but I was uncertain which one. I took the quiz on the website and was given 3 recommendations. I couldn't just choose without trying it out first so I headed to the store with a friend. We arrived shortly before closing but Shane and Lisa were both very welcoming and happy that we came to visit the store. Lisa began with a quick description of the Purple technology, asked about budget, and my reasons for purchasing a new mattress. When trying out each mattress, she was very knowledgable about the features each one offered and even let us use the different pillows on each mattress. This was the most helpful because I found my perfect combination. I wasn't expecting to get the pillow but I couldn't resist the comfort I felt with the Purple Restore Premier Firm and the Medium height Harmony Pillow. Lisa told me about the sale they were having and that it was ending soon and even offered a healthcare workers' discount. Since I didn't have my badge, she offered to email me the quote and she would apply the healthcare workers' discount after I provided proof of employment. She also sent my friend and I with some Purple merch as we left the store. I never felt rushed throughout the whole experience and Lisa was very accommodating throughout the process. She got back to me with the updated quote as soon as I sent in my work badge and I made my purchase! She even offered to help my friend when she is ready to purchase her own. After researching all the different mattresses on the market, including Purple I was uncertain, especially since my search was precluded by a debilitating back injury and a chronic pain condition caused by same. I spoke with store manager Melissa Maletsky about what I thought I knew and my education began! She explained the in’s and out’s of mattress designs for various uses and applications. She was absolutely amazing!! With her knowledge and more importantly her compassion and understanding of what I needed to help with my chronic pain she helped me understand what would and would not achieve the results I had only imagined up to that point. I even spoke with my doctors and they agreed that what Melissa had explained to me was true and insightful, and that the prognosis for relief was very good, and this was based on what Miss Maletsky had recommended, not based on brand but based on the design of the mattresses of the Purple, specifically the Purple Hybrid 3! I haven’t slept so well in years and with such an amazing decline in my “pain score” while laying down on my side and on my back (which before Purple was only an unanswered desire, a wish!)! I am grateful for Melissa Maletsky’s insight and determination in trying to find a match for me, and explaining the various circumstances and designs which would achieve the best possible results, and following through until an intelligent and informed choice could be made and was!! Great Purple experience with Douglas! We know some people who have Purple beds and got some info online but we felt like we needed to test them out. So, we headed to the Purple store and we are so glad we did. The knowledge and patience Douglas has made for a great shopping experience. We tried multiple styles, multiple times and then more times Lol. He listened to our likes and dislikes and then we discussed best options. The information he provided along with testing them out was a great combo. If we purchased online we would’ve went with a different style that we did not like. We never felt pressured and this helped us have a better buying experience and take our time in decision making. And the others employees were awesome too, just nice folks all around.
