Excellent family interactive dark ride. Knott's Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair opened in May 21, 2021 to welcoming crowds. Although the ride reuses the same ride system as the former ride" Voyage to the Iron Reef, Bear-y Tales focuses much more on theming and story telling. In riding both this ride and Toy Story Midway Mania, Knott's Bear-y Tales: Return to the fair (KBT) is much superior over Toy Story. For starters, KBT blends interactive screens perfectly with physical props and sets. When you hop on the cute bear-y tales trolley ride vehicles for the four min journey, you are immersed in the world of Bear-y Tales. Each of the interactive screens is mixed with physical props and sets which adds to the overall level of immersion. While there are no animontronics, the ride makes up this factor with the physical sets. Adding to the nostagic factor of Bear-y Tales, the ride is perfumed with the famous boysenberry smell throughout most of the ride. Towards the end of the ride, there is a cotton candy smell when approaching the fair scene. The beloved "Welcome One and All" theme song of the original Bear-y Tales is brought back in a modernized form. The ride vehicles play the song throughout the entire journey to the fair. By introducing physical props, the famous boysenberry smell, wind effects and the beloved bear-y tales song, this ride is much better than Toy Story Midway Mania.

This is a 4D interactive dark ride where every member of the entire family can enjoy. You can enjoy the ride and shoot at the coyote pups and the famous crafty pie thief, or watch the scenery and take it all in.

Great job Knott's in bringing back more of the nostagic feel back to the park with the return of Knott's Beary Tales: Return...

The manager was slow to serve as well as to other servers The worst place to feel comfortable in this restraint. Silverware. Was only given to two when we were a party of 4 . I had to share my silverware to another person. The waitress was rude .anything I was missing on the table napkins. Or anything was a chore to her like annoid it was the worst experience I had at this Bear restraint. Something is wrong if this stars are low they are low for a reason and corporate is not making money its said if it's a Skelton crew then something needs to be addressed to improve the restraunt instead of having such a poor service for the costumer who comes in to have a mind set to eat and to be served I'm surprise I could of just made my own meal but we as consumer want to pay for good service domethings needs to be fine maybe new management. The most slow and inefficient line-ride loading in the park. We bought the fast pass and the most popular wooden roller coaster was faster. The ride itself had some promise, but by the time you got there you’re already frustrated and then the game itself is nowhere near good enough to make up for it. The guns you use to shoot pies don’t have triggers, you have to pull a cord on the back to “shoot”, meaning half the party can’t aim properly, and those who can get really unnecessarily tired of a really awkward hand motion. Then, to get off, because they only load 4-8 people you wait 10 minute when the ride ends just to get off, which is ridiculous.
