They’ve got a good selection on lures and they have some you can’t find anywhere else, and they’ve got a great selection on rods and reels. BUT, that doesn’t matter because they have an awful policy on trade in’s. I bought a rod from them about a month-month and a half ago, tested it out but never caught any fish on it, but decided I don’t need it anymore. So I decided to bring it in today and get store credit for a reel since they don’t accept returns at all. The rod is pristine, it looks brand new and has only been tested one time. I go up to the counter with the original store tags and all and ask for store credit to get a reel that’s the exact same price, and the manager of the store turns it down immediately because the cork handle on the rod is slightly darker than the brand new rods. That is it. He said that he wouldn’t be able to put it up on the shelf and sell it because the brand new rods have a slightly lighter color cork, which also makes me think that they may be selling used rods labeled as brand new…so I’d avoid buying any rods or reels from them. They don’t have used gear so they were probably gonna stick this rod up on the shelf and say it’s brand new and lie about it. Don’t expect to get store credit when you bring a return in unless it is still wrapped up in the original packaging because they will turn you down for the smallest possible thing. If you have to have to buy something there, buy lures. DO NOT buy rods or reels or expensive items from them because you might be getting a used item deceptively labeled as a new item. They are owned by the same people that own Skagit Arms and we all know how horrid the customer service is at Skagit Arms too

I love this place. They have everything for pretty much any hunting, fishing or camping trip you might be planning. We stopped here as they were the only place we could find real casings to make sausages. They also have all the crab catching and cooking gear one could possibly need.

I pinched a nerve in my back that will take at least 3-6 weeks to heal 100% due to their neglect to bolt a seat down on a display chair and I fell with the seat onto the concrete. I just got a call from the manager saying the chairs have always been like that, admitting the had previous knowledge of the dangerous condition yet isn’t even willing to pay for the Doctor visit I had to go to afterwards to get checked out. Having had multiple spinal fusions, this fall has caused a great deal of shooting nerve pain down my right leg into my big toe from the jolt to my back hardware. Anyone know a good personal injury attorney? Apparently I’m going to need one because they refuse to make it right. When I told two employees that I had fallen off an unbolted chair and hit hard on the concrete, the manager said that they thought I was joking, so no one bothered to ask if I was OK or if I needed help from the fall. I’m so said because this was one of my...

I have been going to this store the last few month for everything fishing. I’m new to Washington and fishing in the ocean, but have caught everything I have set out to catch thanks to the knowledgeable employees in this store. The last two days I have set out to catch Green Ling and Dog Shark and have caught them both and very quickly. John has shown me and the kids exactly what to do and where to go, set up a couple poles for different purposes, built out a hook and weight set up for us while teaching us how to build them ourselves and helped with what bait to use. I have set out to learn something new with the kids and have an adventure each day and have accomplished it each day surpassing expectations. I have great appreciation for the knowledge John has shared and for all the other employees at Holiday Sport for helping build some great memories for us the last few days. I will be a customer for...
