A few weeks ago, my son's tire came off his van just before getting on a freeway home from his work & damaging his right front fender. This happened after an oil change & tire rotation about 3-weeks earlier at Master Auto. NO other person had touched his wheels since the work at Master Auto! Feeling sad that George had gone on the defensive and saying lugnuts don't take that long to loosen up. I have talked with other certified mechanics & they say it CAN happen if the lugnuts weren't fully tightened in that time span & were also saddened Master Automotive didn't take responsibility (I never mentioned Master's name, as I have known George since he was a mechanic working for Larry's Nicollet Center in 1991, the repair shop he eventually bought from Larry to become Smith Neilsen, then to Master Automotive! ❤ Master Automotive and George were AWESOME mechanics and a friend for all my family car needs !!! 😀 ❤ ❤

That's why I am very saddened this turned so sour for my son's vehicle because Master Automotive was the LAST ones to touch those wheels, even though it was a few weeks before the lugnuts on that right front wheel came loose!! AND, THANKING GOD THAT HE WASN'T ON THE FREEWAY THAT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN WITHIN MINUTES!

Same thing happened to my son's van a few years ago at another tire shop after new tires were put on and that was about two weeks after they put the lugnuts on his left front tire! But, that tire shop owner stepped up immediately and fixed his left front wheel, ordered parts to fix & paid a body shop for left front fender to be fixed because front end crashed down on wheel as wheel came off & rolled down the street. That tire shop owner insisted on paying personally instead of sending to tire shop's insurance! Now, my son needs to pay $750 out of his pocket to get his wheel fixed & $1,000 to get a body shop to fix the fender.

On my way home my red oil light came on and it never had before. I looked right away for any auto shop and found the best one immediately 1/2 a block later! I was in a panic and walked into Master Automotive and yelled “hello?” Out came George, the owner. I explained my panicked state and he said “ok, why don’t you have a seat and give me your keys and I’ll take a look.” I said that would be great, thanks! He took my keys , walked out to my car, checked my oil, looked under my car, and came back in.” He said “well, you’re down about 3 quarts of oil, my shop is closed for tonite, but how about I put some oil in for tonite & you come back tomorrow and we’ll do an oil change and check things out.” I said great. He went in the back of his store, to his garage, came back with oil in a can and went out, poured it in, and no red light! I made an appointment for in the morning and left. Next morning I went back, a young man came and got my keys, drove my car out back and in about 30 minutes he came back and handed the keys to George and they filled out a checkout list of all the things they had checked out on my car as a courtesy. They then told me the total cost and I was so relieved! I would recommend this place to anyone who needs any type of auto care! The honesty was incredible! George is friendly and so was his staff and in today’s world it is hard to find people like this who take pride in their workmanship. I had an issue with a weird sound coming from my car, and they were able to diagnose, order parts and have the car fixed so quickly. My car runs smoothly and quietly now! I can't recommend this mechanic shop highly enough! From start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure an exceptional experience.
