This is the second time I've gone to this particular DQ, and I remember why I said I'd never go back after. There's something about their burgers at this particular establishment that makes them taste very off compared to the rest of the franchise. It's not pleasant. My guess is the fryers and stuff aren't being cleaned regularly or at all (or being done right).
Also went there with my austistic son because he loves french fries. We realized he's never had french fries from dairy queen, so we ventured out to this establishment. Once again, just like 6 years ago when I was there last, French fries were not salted at all, and I had to go home and salt my own fries. Sure it sounds like a first world problem, but like, when you pay for food, you're paying for it to be done right the first time.
So after two extremely disappointing experiences years apart, I guess I have to keep avoiding this restaurant. It's only a matter of time before they close this one down anyway.
If corporate reads into this, please look into why on earth their burgers taste funkier then everyone else's under the franchise. It's not a pleasant taste to be honest.
I would like to give credit to the cashier today though who did give good quality service, and he did not screw up my order at least. Just the quality (which is most likely out of his control) was kinda garbage.
It was at least edible, but honestly had I stayed there, I probably would have asked for my money back; that's how funky their...
Read moreI have been to this location countless times as it is the closet location to me. However, Every time I leave this location I am reminded why I drive almost double the distance to other DQ’s 95% of the time I am craving DQ. The experience starts with subpar customer service including NEVER ONCE being shown a blizzard flip because the high schoolers working know no one has time to call them out and get the free blizzard their company promises if its not done and because every time its a soupy consistency so it wouldn't stay in the cup any ways. And continues when they forget parts of the meal and we sit there in the drive-thru with a line behind us and multiple employees stare us straight in the eye and then turn away instead of asking us or telling the drive-thru attendant to look at us so we eventually have to honk and remind them while they are in mid-joke that they have a job to do and then the final stage is overall disappointment when we get home and in our ENTIRE medium cookie dough “blizzard” (soup) there is maybe 6 pieces of cookie dough. Dairy Queen states they want to uphold the highest values and correct their wrongs but this has been going on for years and about 2-3 times a year I think “i dont want to drive so far for blizzard when i have a DQ much closer, maybe they will be better this time” I regret my decision every time and remind myself the quality is sooo much more worth the quantity of miles it would take to get decent food...
Read moreListen up neighbors! You aren't going to believe this one! My husband had oral surgery this morning and on the way home we stopped at Dairy Queen on county road 42 in Burnsville to get a banana shake. They couldn't make the banana shake (now get this) because they were out of milk? When asked the gal why would Dairy Queen run out of milk she said that they had been out of it for over a week because the manager was in Arizona on vacation and so they had no way of getting it. asked her why someone didn't walk across the street to the gas station and get a gallon of it so that Dairy Queen could run their business?? She said: "'no we can't do that we have to go through the legal process"????? sarcastically said would you like me to go get some milk for you and she thought was serious and said "oh would hate to ask you to do that but that would be so nice'.... My husband and sat speechless in the car and couldn't speak for a few seconds because we were both in shock. Was this the most crazy thing you've ever heard or am being ridiculous? don't think the owner of Dairy Queen on 42 would be too happy to know all the business that he has probably lost because they didn't have a couple gallons of milk for a week!!...
