First off, this place has amazing tea. I haven't gotten bubble tea from here before, but the loose leaf is very good quality and they have a really big selection of teas on top of that. Their tea lattes are great. Whether you're new to tea or already know your favorites, you can get a teapot of any loose leaf tea they have that you'd like to try and spend some time getting to know it. There's a section of the store where you can smell the different teas to see what you might like. You can also get one resteep per mug/teapot, and it's seriously $3.25 per mug (though premium teas like gyokuro or silver needle cost slightly more, it's by like a dollar or something). It's great value and quality. Finally, they also sell all of their loose leaf teas in store if you want to take any home, and there are a ton of teapots, cups, and tea appliances also available for purchase if you want to take anything home or get a gift for anyone. They have their biggest selection of black and green tea, then herbal, then oolong and some white teas, and then they have plenty of rooibos and rooibos blends. They have some pu-erh, but it's a limited selection.
The shop has a cozy atmosphere and seating; I usually visit in the earlier or later few hours to study or get work done, and in my experience it's typically relatively quiet in terms of auditory volume even with customers. However, it gets packed on weekends. The ambiance is going to be best during those non-rush hours. Both "sides" of the store are equally comfortable. There are a few outlets on the Western side of the shop, but don't count on them when it's very busy. There is free Wi-Fi on weekdays.
Something small, but they offer a punch card for a free drink redemption that gets credit for every drink or bagged loose leaf purchase in an order. Make sure you ask for one, and be sure to show them it whenever you order. They won't necessarily prompt you about it every time.
If you have even cursory interest, I recommend visiting. The value to quality ratio of their tea is incredible, and the shop...
Read moreI’m deeply disappointed with Indigo Tea Company and feel compelled to share my experience—especially for others with food allergies. For a long time, I couldn’t figure out why I kept experiencing health issues every time I visited the tea house. After much confusion and tracking what I consumed, I finally discovered the root cause: their iced drinks are served with a dairy-based creamer, even though it’s labeled as “non-dairy.”
This is extremely misleading and dangerous—especially for those of us with severe dairy allergies. “Non-dairy” is not the same as dairy-free, and many people don't realize that so-called non-dairy creamers can still contain casein, a milk protein.
It wasn't until a wonderfully honest employee finally clarified that the creamer used is actually “lactose-free” (not dairy-free) that things made sense. If it weren’t for that conversation, I never would have connected the dots.
This kind of labeling is not only irresponsible—it’s a serious health risk. Indigo Tea Company needs to clearly disclose ingredients and understand the difference between lactose-free and truly dairy-free. Allergy transparency is not optional.
I won’t be returning unless there are clear, honest changes made to how ingredients are labeled and communicated.
UPDATE SINCE REPLY FROM STORE
I have never ordered a bubble tea so that point is null, and it took your staff more than 10 times to tell me that the creamer in fact has dairy. I have asked for my iced tea to have oat milk and all but the last time the staff has stated "we do not do that we use non dairy creamer instead". Even when pushed again for oat milk they insist that the non dairy creamer is...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience at this special tea shop where West meets East in a Zen atmosphere with a relaxing aroma. The diverse tea selection, ranging from European to Chai, Thai, Black, and Jasmine tea, was impressive. The beautifully displayed tea products, from cups to tea pots and more, caught my eye with their cute, traditional, and aesthetic styles.
During my visit, I ordered the Thai Tea, which was perfectly blended with milk and strong tea, offering a delightful flavor. However, the Royal Milk Tea with Lychee Jelly was a bit overwhelming with Lychee syrup for my taste. Nevertheless, I was pleased to find that their teas are of high quality, making it a spot worth revisiting.
I was also delighted to learn about their sustainable practices, such as using compostable straws – a small but meaningful contribution to the environment.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The spacious layout provided Japanese-style table corners and regular seating areas, making it a perfect spot for relaxation or work, with plenty of parking spots available for added convenience.
Overall, this tea shop offers an outstanding experience, combining exceptional teas, a serene ambiance, and a dedication to sustainability. I can’t wait to support this...
