Michaels — Local services in Burnsville

TLDR dont go here is you wanted to be treated well just drive to Apple Valley. Normally I love Michaels but I purposely skip this one and drive another 15 minutes to go to Apple Valley here's why. Everytime I go in there I get watched or followed, I never get customer service, and then I get questioned by the door by management and employees alike. I dont walk in with a big bag, I dont act suspicious, and I dont act unkind towards the employees. Though everytime I go in there I get treated like a crook any other Michaels I have no problem. I also know that it unacceptable especially because I used to work for Michaels. I just happen to work close, I love to craft, and Im mourning Joann. Despite all of this I went in today for a diamond painting kit for my friend who's birthday is coming up and I was watched and followed around. It was also impossible to find their pride section because they had crammed it onto an end cap mixing everything together and lazily tossing it up there which is also unacceptable when it comes to their rules and guidelines the company gives them for appearance. There is an employee who drives a older looking red Blazer-esque suv.... I've twice now almost been struck by this employee when going to this location. It has nothing to do with Michael's as a store but...whoever this employee is, is careless and is going to hurt someone. I rarely go here and this has happened twice now.

Aside from this, half the employees are amazing and the other half are just a bit melancholy. They don't really feel like they want to be there. It makes me sad. The ones walking around are happy to help but the ones at the register are always so mad at something.

I have been going to this Michaels for years and have never had any problems with it. Every time I walk in I get treated to one of my favorite scents ever. It's probably a combination of flowers, fabric, and knick-knacks but I love that Michaels store smell. Anyways, today I needed help with a custom picture frame mat for my cross stitch. Seth was the one who had helped me in the back and he deserves a raise. He helped me through the mat decision process and had it cut and ready to go in minutes. I thought it would've had to take days and be a bit pricey, but it only took like 8 minutes to cut and was reasonably priced.
