R/C Car Kings — Local services in Burnsville

The ‘employees’ here are just rude. They act like if you don’t know everything about RC cars then your an idiot and not worth their time. Seriously? How are new people, adults or kids, supposed to get into the hobby if the employees here treat everyone with such a terrible, rude, demeaning and awful attitude. I mean on my very first question of “hey is this car here like a rock crawler?” I get the response “it IS a rock crawler obviously, it’s not LIKE a rock crawler. It is one” .... what the hell?!? What a jerk. Then it was a few more jerky comments where he made it obvious I was annoying him with my lack of RC knowledge (because that’s, of course, very important information to have to be a fuctioning member of society like these 55 year old virgins) and then he went back to chatting with his buddies who were all like him, super “cool”. These guys weren’t buying anything. They were literally just his loser Buddies who had come in the store to hangout and chat about how awesome it is that their moms still cook them all their meals and do their laundry at 55 years old....

So, instead of helping a paying customer buy a RC car for his son, with real money, that I’m sure the store owner would appreciate having, he alienated and offended me to the point where I felt I’d be pulling teeth to even attempt to make a purchase... all so he could sit around on someone else’s dime chatting up his buds. Cool.

Nice store. Cool merchandise. AWFUL employees. Go to Hub hobby until these guys hire some employees who actually care about the store and...

I called R/C Car Kings after being directed by Fisher Price for a Hot Wheels part for my daughters Jeep. Spoke with Roy on the phone and neither him nor Fisher Price could tell me the part I needed. Hung up with Roy and a short time later, he called me back and said he thought he had it figured and would call me back.

Next day I received a call from Roy that he had contacted someone from Fisher Price and was able to get the part I needed sent to him. Few days later he had the part and called to let me know it was in. I went and picked up the part and was able to get the Jeep running great for my daughter.

Turns out this was a manufacturing error and they didn't put the part in at the factory. Anyway, Roy went way above my expectations on looking for a part and spent I'm sure a lot of time and charged me nothing for the part under warranty.

When you get service like he provided, it's a pleasure for me to take some time and promote the great customer service received. He could have just said he couldn't figure it out (even the first person I spoke to at Hot Wheels couldn't figure out the part I needed) but he took the time and made a 3 year old happy as can be and a dad look like a Hot Wheels Master Repair Technician.

Got an rc car, truck, plane, tank, or even a '89 batmobile?? Come step into your new candy store... or at least when you walk in you'll feel like a kid in a sweets shop. But that's not it, wait till you talk with them. That's when things change... question, they have answers. Parts, give them the number an he'll grab it off the shelf. I have never had a better experience in this hobby, than what this place offers. Been there a number of times, yet still find myself wandering around getting lost in my thoughts... till "oh yeah I need this"... "an that, an hmmm yeah that too". Do yourself a favor an come see these guys. Beyond worth the trip. Not to mention, there's no need to "find it cheaper online" cause they probably have it beat one way or another. Truly one of those shops you will always want to go back to for more. Thank you guys for all the help, an you'll surely see me soon! 5 stars is not...
