Rude staff, I live in the mountains 45 minutes away and I needed to pick up medicine on an ice covered night. I called and talked to the guy at drive thru when I was at the last red light about 2 to 3 minutes away, he said they would be closing in 3 minutes. I pulled into the drive thru at the very last minute and he, the attendant had walked away from drive thru window. I honked and he would not return to window. I pulled around to the main entrance and he and 2 lady staffers were locking the door. I ran to the door as all three of the employees were starting to walk away from the door area and were just inside about 20 feet. They looked at me and through the door I said, I just talked to you about p/u of medicine. They just stood there, all three looking at me, turned their back while I was speaking, and moved further away laughing and making comments to each other. I tapped on the door again, they stopped, all three looked at me again, I said I just talked with you and they laughed making comments then walked further away still talking toward the back of the store. The problem is the guy knew I was pulling up to the window at the last second because I talked with him minutes before, but he didn't have the courtesy or maturity to take 60 seconds to take care of a long time customer that gives them all his family business. Even if it was to say, I'm sorry, store policy is that we can't even take an extra 60 seconds to take care of last minute customers. I now go anywhere other than the Canyon City Walgreens...
Read moreIn December I bought two over the counter, Walgreen brand, common medication. They normally would run 6 dollars plus. On this occasion, I was shocked to see that one cost $15 and the other $16. Holy cow I thought, was there a shortage on these two common medications? I went ahead and bought them. Several days later, while at City Market, I saw the same two similar products at the normal price of six dollars. I bought those with the intent of returning the Walgreens products and to complain that they are price gouging. The manager didn't respond to my complaints when I returned them, but appeared to allow me to return the products. He said he couldn't refund onto my credit card, but would give me a Walgreens gift card for the amount of purchase. That was fine I said. I forgot about the card for several months. When I went to use it, it only had 5 dollars on it. I was livid, as I returned over 30 dollars of "over priced" products. Sooooo, they ripped me off for 25 dollars. I shop there all the time, but I will never again. I always found them to be rather pricey, but now with increasing the cost of normal over the counter medication by three times and NOT reimbursing loyal customers...well....I definitely DO NOT recommend you shop at this store if you can help it. Read moreI’m getting ready to change all my scripts to a different pharmacy. I’ve been a customer here for years and never had any issues until recently. I’m fairly certain they’re extra busy because Covid-19 is going around Canon like wildfire, but they seriously never answered the phone if there’s an issue with a script and their staff is extra rude. I know it’s busy and stressful but that’s no excuse. Only reason I’ve stayed so long is that I like to shop at Walgreens. Last time the older gentleman tech answered the phone (miracle?) but didn’t want to push a couple buttons on the computer to send my dr a notice they needed to get a pre-authorization for my medicine. He literally argued with me and double-talk for 10 minutes, got caught in a lie and finally took the 90 seconds it actually did take to send the fax. I get you’re stressed but seriously, it’s easier, and less time consuming than arguing with a customer to just do the job! And I was very nice about it. Do better! Anyone wonder why the reviews are so bad? The waits in line are crazy, I get being understaffed and busy, but rude and lying to boot is where I draw the line.
