Beware of deceptive business practices! We came to this store in February 2023 to switch carriers and establish new service as we have retired and recently moved to the area. When asked what we were looking for we indicated that we were interested in a senior plan. The salespeople indicated that any senior plan would need to be set up directly with Verizon but also indicated that it should be easy to switch plans with their app. We were asked if we needed new phones and were told we qualified for new phones if we traded in our existing phones. At no time were we informed that the new phones were conditional on being locked into a specific plan or that we would be locked into that plan for 3 years. Again, we originally requested a senior plan. It was our understanding that the new phone promotion was due to us switching carriers not because of signing up for a specific plan. There was a lot of confusion going on in the store as they appeared to be short staffed and were training a couple of new employees. We were passed back and forth from the trainer to the trainees. We were told that it can take a few billing cycles for everything to go through but credits would be made to the account for the trade ins. After receiving bills showing a payment for our supposed free phones we contacted Verizon and were told that on their end there was nothing they could do and said we needed to contact the store where we got the phones. We went to the store with our original paperwork and were greeted by the person who was training when we first stopped in. He apparently is the new store manager. He was confused with what we were asking and made copies of the paperwork so he could show it to his superior (trainer). He said he would follow up with a text. After not receiving a reply for 2 weeks we stopped back in to find out what was going on. At this time it was noted that the paperwork that needed to be filed for the trade ins was never entered. We were also informed that since we changed our plan, as we were told we could, we were no longer eligible for the free phones and would need to make the scheduled payments for the next 3 years unless we changed back to the original plan. We asked how this happened and were told that it was most likely a miscommunication from the salespeople. Asked why we were being punished when it was their miscommunication and not our misunderstanding we were told sorry but there is nothing we can do. This business appears to put commissions above customers. We are now stuck with a plan we didn’t want and phones we didn’t need. Think twice before doing...
Read moreThis review is not against the sales staff at all. It is only for their screen protectors. I have a Galaxy note 9 and my screen protector (which was great) broke saving my phone which shocked me that the screen wasn't broken. So I swung into Canon City to replace it and realized they didn't carry nearly the same selection as other stores to be exact they had one option available and it was $50. There was a long wait bc they were busy so, I looked the screen protectors up and found the one I had that broke (that another Verizon retail store sold me) for 1/3 of the price at Best Buy and which I couldn't believe Walmart as well. For $15!!! I payed $40 for mine and here they want $50 for one that doesn't seem to be that same quality and here we have best buy and Walmart selling great screen protectors for $15. Ya I put it back and drove to Walmart and sure enough they had them locked up on the shelf so I bought one and it's great. So beyond the ramble my point is Verizon is great but their screen protectors are way over...
Read moreUpdate: Switched to ONE star. now our service is suspended and most likely will end up being shut off completely because these lying salespeople put us in over our heads! We will DEFINITELY BE SWITCHING CARRIERS! We can LITERALLY get the EXACT SAME SERVICE. And of course, Verizon doesn't reach out for resolution or anything.
Had a sales person convince us to get new phones along with the "free" tablets and watches. However, he did NOT inform us of the monthly charges, only the activation fee. He assured us our bill would be less than before. It's $100 more/month. He also told my husband and I that my husband's phone would be $100 total after his trade-in, which was a lie, apparently. He quoted that my phone after trade-in would be $11/month which was another lie. An assistant manager from another store in a different city had to come down to access my new phone as he entered information wrong! We are extremely displeased and disappointed as Verizon used to be great, honest,...
