I hate to give poor ratings to a place with good food but I was seriously disappointed with the service here. We came here on a Friday afternoon with an hour and 15 mins to spare before we had to pick up our train ride tickets. We figured we wanted to try sushi and how long would that take? Surprise surprise!
When we entered, there wasn't a single person dining in. We took around 5-8 mins to decide what we wanted and by the time we went back to order at the main desk, there was one person ordering to dine in. Another person came in for their pick up just after we'd finished ordering. We ordered fountain drinks, the eel, octopus and squid nigiri, Las Vegas roll and denver roll.
Half an hour later, nothing has shown up at our table. At least 3 other people have shown up for their pick up orders and have not received them. Finally at 40 mins post our order placement, I went up to ask how long it would take, and I was told that the chef was just starting up on our order!! We ended up taking our order to go and only because I'd already paid for it.
I would've appreciated a heads up regarding the wait time. You can't just expect us to sit there waiting for food. We would've gone elsewhere and enjoyed a nice dine in experience. So I have to call this poor service.
Regarding the food, they gave us a bowl of complimentary hot and sour soup which was good. The sushi was good as per my brother who ate it all. The Las Vegas roll was excellent and should on anyone's order list. The denver roll was just ok. As you can see from the pictures, the takeout was obviously not as enjoyable as the dine in would've been, because the rolls got squished together.
The food is good, but ask up front if they're lagging behind in orders so you're aware of how...

Owner is not open to complaints from costumers. "New" concept is a step backwards, and feels very low class for a sushi restaurant. Dine-in closes at 7PM, but you wouldn't know that by checking the website or Google. The ordering system feels like you're at a cheap cafeteria-type restaurant. Had to ask to even be given water after we were directed to seat ourselves at a table. The paper menus do not have descriptions of the sushi on them, so you're stuck ordering blindly or using your phone to read descriptions off their website. The menus also do not have any drinks on them, so you're forced to awkwardly ask what's available when you order at their point of sale (like you're in a cafeteria). Prices have more than doubled, according to my wife who has patronized this restaurant for years. $7 for a bowl of miso soup. Hahahaha. Owner let me know he's from Denver, and it shows. Unfortunately, that's where I'm from too. I drive two hours out of town to avoid exactly that kind of attitude.
If you want a cozy small-town eatery that doesn't take itself so seriously and has reasonable prices, this is not it.
A brief review of the food:
Average, in my opinion. Sushi does not need to be deep fried, as it detracts from the actual flavors of each type of roll. Could barely tell the difference between my roll ($15) and my wife's ($10). It should also be cut into bite-sized pieces, instead of miniature saucers. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of sushi. Other than that, it was average sushi I shouldn't have paid $30 for.
Edit: The owner was kind enough to bring us two wontons for our poor experience....
Read moreSo my wife and I go in to this restaurant about 2-3 times a month. Son was ill an we wanted sushi so we ordered pickup. THE MANAGER took our order and she got it wrong. (Witch doesn’t bother me) things happen. When my wife gets there to pick up the food she informed the manager that was handing her the food that it wasn’t what she ordered. She decided to tell my wife without apologizing that “well if you want me to have your food made then it will be a 35 minute wait. (After we waited 45 minutes to come get the first order). My wife gets home informs me of how snooty the manager was to her and what happened. So I called Momos and asked for the manager and I said, look my wife and I spend over $150 a month in your restaurant and I don’t appreciate you being rude an disrespectful to my wife when you made a mistake. She said (I don’t have time for this I’m in a dinner rush)! I replied with it is 8:15 you close in 15 minutes I know better. Then she hangs up on me!!! I called her back and informed her that I will be speaking with the owner Han about her attitude and her terrible service. This was all after the last 3 times we went in there we waited 15 minutes to even get our drinks ordered then 30 minutes to even get a refill of water. I don’t usually complain publicly like this I called her first to give her a chance to make it right an all she said was “what do you want me to do about it”. I’m disgusted with this new management and it needs...
