The Club — Local services in Carmel-by-the-Sea

First, the store is beautiful and the product is beautiful. The reason I'm leaving this review is because I went into this store on Wednesday, November 20 @ 430PM -- and I was immediately intercepted and followed by a sales rep (older lady with glasses). I can forgive the overbearing sales rep that makes you want to leave the store immediately because you cannot browse in peace, but the next part I can't forgive. This rep had an argumentative and rude undertone as I was browsing. She wasn't happy that I didn't like a certain style of jacket and argued against my opinion, which was bizarre. But then -- the main offense. I go to try on a blazer and I tell her I'm a size 42 -- she looks at me and says "you're not a 42". I told her that I am indeed a 42 and have a walk in closet at home with over 100 jackets/suits, all size 42. I am a prolific wearer of these jackets. She says "no, you couldn't close a 42 - you're a 44" and proceeds to hand me a 44 -- which was way too big. I laughed and walked out of the store. The funny thing is, I was actually wearing a Suit Supply dress coat -- size 42. So this rep was arrogant, rude and argumentative. I was dying to drop some cash on some clothes. She made sure that didn't happen. I couldn't believe the experience with that woman. Crazy. Just a heads up to the owner. Otherwise, a great...

Had a fantastic experience with Chris at the store. He was informative, friendly and very professional. The shop has a lot of wonderful unique products. Extremely responsive to my follow up to my questions as well and it was apparent he remembered me even though the shop was quite busy the day...
