Bobby Pages Dry Cleaners — Local services in Carson City

We are all for supporting local businesses and my husband and I always practice this whenever we can. So far in all these years we've been here in the valley, we are happy to say we are proud and blessed with our encounters except for one recently-- Bobby Page's of Carson City with special mention to "RITA", Customer Service Manager?? She's groomed to say: "I know how you feel", "We appreciate your patience", etc. Also met the owner, Dave who assures you: "I will take care of you" and "if we do not find your dress, We will reimburse you."

Long story short, brought a 2-pc male suit and a cocktail dress for dry cleaning. They misplaced the dress. We are reasonable people and understand mistakes happen, despite the inconvenience we were patient enough and gave them time to track my dress. Mind you, We had gone 3x back and forth prior (the first 2 we were told it was there but they couldn't find my dress; and the 3rd to talk to the owner.) The 4th time, they finally found my dress (thanks to an honest customer who might have been given my dress in error and returned it) and we went to pick it up. Reputable company would either not charge you for the dress or your dry cleaning bill since they misplaced and inconvenienced you. When I asked Rita why she even charged me for the dress, she even have the audacity to say, "that is not what we agreed upon. I don't mind paying for the other stuff but for something they screwed up on? Oh, I guess I should be grateful as Rita offered to dry clean the same dress in question next time free of charge. Really?? If she can do this later, why not this time as sign of good faith. Well, sad lesson learned. Customers beware. This business lost one loyal customer!! To all our Facebook families...

Quality: Poor Prices: Ridiculous Service: Acceptable

Military members don't go here. Tried to get name and US Army tapes sewn on a blouse and patrol cap. I asked them to have it ready in 4 days. The name tape was sewn on higher than the US army tape and despite having given them the uniforms with like-fonted tapes they mixed them up and I ended up with a blouse having tapes with both thin and thick font.

For this service (2 items cleaned, 3 tapes and 2 ranks sewn on poorly) they tried to charge me 99 DOLLARS.

It is my fault for not investigating the total price but if you are going here with the assumption that their prices are within a reasonable range based on other tailors, you might be disappointed.

After I asked them to explain the price to me, they lowered it to 58 dollars.

Additionally, a friend of mine posted on Facebook "Bobby Pages just charged me $27.95 to sew combat stripes onto my dress uniform...They are 1.25" long and 0.75" inches wide.... I will be taking my business elsewhere from here on...

I have nothing but praise for the rush alterations I received at the Stewart Avenue Bobby Pages location in Carson City, Nevada. The sleeves on the tux jacket I rented by mail were too long for me and I needed quick, non-destructive alterations in time for my daughter's wedding taking place 48 hours after I received the tux.

Rita assured me on the phone that they could get the work done in time so long as I were willing to pay a small rush fee.

Belen confidently assessed the situation and completed the alterations in fewer than 4 hours, enabling me to pick the altered tux up on my way back from Reno airport.

Kaylee was courteous, customer focused and professional during our interactions at the counter.

In the end, the cost of the alterations and rush fee were surprisingly reasonable and not at all in line with some of the negative comments I had read from other reviewers.
