A friend and I did the 2 hour beginner wheel throwing class with Luke. We had a fabulous time and actually made pots that seemed like they would work. We spent at least four hours with the pottery wheel. The first couple of hours, Luke first demonstrated the wheel techniques then watched and advised us as we attempted our first pot. Then he watched and helped us create a pot. After that, he let us experiment with clay and the wheel while he worked in the shop. Both of us ended up with four amateur looking pots. The following day, Luke spent at least another hour showing us how to trim the pots. After they dry, he'll fire them and call us to glaze them.
