I went in the store last week to sell 2 winter coats I had that were brand new. One by Truth by Religion, the other by Torrid. I also had a winter scarf from Banana Republic that was new. Between the 3 items I paid about $340. They advertise that they pay cash for clothing. I arrived about 11am and was told that they didn't have any cash left to pay cash for my items. They had only been open 2 hours. I was upset when the girl working told me that. She then made me believe that she may be able to. I went and looked around the store because she told me it would be 30-45 minutes. About 40 minutes later she came and got me and said she was ready for me. At that time she again told me that they wouldn't be able to pay cash for my stuff, all they could do is give me store credit. I wasn't happy about this. Then when I found out they only were going to pay me $19.38 for all 3, I was floored. Not only did I walk all the way across town but they wouldn't buy the stuff I had for cash but they basically ripped me off. I realize that they have to make a profit but that's ridiculous. 9/28/22 first time at this location and will be the last. I should of read reviews first. I will stick to driving to platos closest in reno. Every negative review i read, I agree with & experienced myself today. I first called, inquiring what & when they buy. They could of told me a lot more then they had. Like having to wait all day for a phone call only to then go and pick back up everything they had just kept. Picky is a under statement. They didn’t keep anything and why the first women went thru items and kept what she had only to be given it back what a joke. I had things that were new with tags and she said they kept three items never was shown but they kept more however I wasn’t paid for all it was a joke. STAY AWAY!! Kendall, who claims to be the store manager, is rude, entitled, and discriminates based off of her judgments of people. She admitted to discriminating against me due to a previous review I left about my experience at the store. She gave me the owners number, Elaine, so I called and left a message to inform her of her store manager’s behaviors. Not a good look!! Freedom of speech - look it up young girl! People are free to leave a review of their experiences. It doesn’t give you the right to discriminate against your customers or people who want to sell clothes to you.
