Giant Food — Local services in Chadds Ford Township

Had a bad experience today, and reported it to management, who said they would talk to the employee responsible, so, I'm giving a good review. HOWEVER, I sincerely hope the person I spoke with does as she promised.

I use a wheelchair, and, can manage grocery shopping only own, HOWEVER, the male employee in question PROMPTLY stopped me, as I was MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS, and asked me why I didn't have an aide with me. NOT ALL OF US 'NEED' ONE, THANKS VERY MUCH. I had made this decision in my early thirties, and all the people closest to me, who TAUGHT me the skills, and taught me to have the common sense to ask for help to be independent enough not to need supervision when I'm out in public, and when I TRULY can't, I'll ASK, and not when some sissy passerby employee has an anxiety attack if I so much as BLINK. Should be noted that I spent about 5 minutes reassuring them that I in fact COULD MANAGE, which I don't APPRECIATE, because I KNOW that you wouldn't lose your mind like that with an ABLE BODIED PERSON, because, JUST LIKE WITH PEOPLE LIKE ME, that's...

I needed flowers for my wedding and decided to stop by and chat with the floral department to get an idea of what they could do for me with my wedding being a month away. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Eva (floral dept). Eva made all my worries and stress go away while preparing and planning my flowers. I went in there thinking I’d just get boutonnieres and a bouquet for me - Eva had so many ideas that made me even more excited about my wedding day! She made mock up examples and gave me her advice on everything. She even texted me photos of how the arrangements were turning out days before the wedding so if I didn’t like something, she could adjust it. Such great customer service! I ended up getting everything made by her for my big day and all for an extremely affordable cost!! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Giant’s Floral department!! Eva is fantastic at what she does! I highly recommend Giant for weddings — I think Giant is a hidden gem with all of the other options out there. Give them a try - you won’t be disappointed!...

Its a good grocery store really, i like it way more than acme, but many of the employees are MISERABLE! At least the cashiers anyway. Especially some of the older ladies. They're very rude and disinterested. The younger cashiers seem a lot nicer.

I had a woman snap at me for asking if her register was still open, she was walking away from it but the light was still on. Turns out it was still open. I thought it was a pretty normal question lol. I just walked down and used a different check out lane.

Today my self check out lane was having issues, as always, the self checkout machines here are really annoying and finicky. You put a bag down and the whole thing freaks out and thinks its a product you didn't ring up.
